they only warranty for the RRoD for 3 years, not if u have disk read errors, freezing, blah blah blah…thats the prob i have now. they want $100 buck fix it. bastards

try to overheat the fucker and cause the ring of death

i bought an xbox from target to hold me over. you can return in within 90 days. they did’nt open the box, they just made sure the serial numbers matched.
Bump, I’m killing these things like they are made of candy. In one weeks time this is where I stand, note these are refurbs.
#1 - RRoD, died after 10 minutes idle. No more booting.
#2 - DVD drive would not read games.
#3 - RRoD, died after some random freezes after about 8 hours of usage. Randomly boots.
#4 - Called Microsoft instead of exchanging it. Replacement system, new warranty pending shipping.
