I must say im pretty impressed with TWs customer service, my cable line was cut, and it only took them 4 days to come fix it. WAY TO FUCKING GO!

When did you call it in? I’ve never seen a called in cable take more then 24 hours, outside of oct storm. Unless you are talking pole to pole cable, which can take longer.

ummm it was def not pole to pole, all they had to do was replace some cable from the box to my apt.
took him all of 30 minutes.
When you called it in, it should of been setup same day or next day, depending on time called in…
I’ve seen alot of mistakes happen at the call centers and issues we should be fixing within 24 taking longer…
I guess i should of stated a proper call in and setup should never be longer then 24 hours for something along those lines. (no pic all sets) If we are talking 1 set, then sounds right.

Actually you can still get expanded and basic cable whoever told you otherwise is a completely uneducated fucktard. It really disappoints me that TW customer service people are so retarded. Expanded cable (2-72) was only 50ish IIRC, Digital cable with 1 box starts at 59.95 (I am fairly certain they have started to include the 1st box but I won’t say with certainty).
TW sent me a pricing guide like 2 days after I canceled service to go with Dish. (My choice boiled down to HD Lineup and DVR hardware/software)

Fios is faster… period. They have none of the inherent limitations that TW and other cable co’s have to work with. I never understood why the euro dsl options never too off here in the states.
Will Fios be the holy grail, no but they will be the flavour of the month for quite sometime. 20mb/20mb for 70 bucks is hard to say no too.

FIOS is the future, i think verizon has launched it a little early, but we’ll see how it goes, today each house does not need the bandwidth fios provides, but it doesn’t hurt, just costs alot…
Verizon will be a great provider if they can straighten out their customer service and boot the union.
Dish is the same old, they won’t advance much in a one way system, all they can do is add add add channels, which they do a good job.

You can also get the basic cable for $10/mo and the expanded for $5 more through TW. As for the internet being shitty I have had it for 6 yrs. Between Powerlink and roadrunner. I have been getting 10/1 since it was available. The only hiccup I have ever had was during the switch over between adelphia and TW when they rerouted the servers to virginia a day or 2. Other than call me a leghumper…I aint swicthing.
The fact that I had to reboot my modem once every day or so - literally. And when it finally got to the point that I had to call them for service, they sent out the dumbest person on earth and he changed a cable, said “oh here’s your problem, you aren’t using a gold plated connector”. Seriously? Come on. My problem was my modem was a piece of shit. So I get a new modem, after some complaining and bitching, hook it up, and now it works, but still drops connection intermittently.
Their tech support are a bunch of retards (which is like that with anyone, I suppose), out of everyone that has been to the house, only 1 installer wasn’t a complete fucking moron (subcontractors, I know), and their service is way over priced.
I have had dsl for about 2 years now, and the one time I had any issues with it, it was with the crappy old wires in my house, but they still sent someone out right away to check. It never went down - ever. I never had to reset anything, or reinstall anything.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that the digital box is a piece of shit too. Whenever I hit the guide button, it takes forever for it to come up, and sometimes, it just locks up. It is annoyingly slow as balls. And god forbid that I am trying to check something on tomorrow’s lineup.

I could say most TW subs that have shitty internet think its their modem and do the usual swap for another one which fixes about 1/10… Most subs are retarded anyways, using radioshack shit, using a 2, 3 and even 4 way splitter as a barrel to extend the cable and wonder why ever since they extended it their internet works like shit… Must be the modem…

What model explorer do you have? That can be expected on the older Explorer boxes with low memory you can actually go to TW office and request a newer model. for SD only a Explorer 3250 would be good.

A HD box or old digital box? The 2000 digitals are slow and old as hell. TW is not buying new digital boxes, most new equipment is all HD, DVR or combo boxes…
When i hit guide i get a full guide under a second and if i go 6 days in advance it loads all info under a second.
Just cause a few people have problems, doesn’t mean everyone is having the same issue.
