NOTICE TO WIVB-TV AND WNLO-TV VIEWERS

no help :gotme:

I agree and have stated the same. Not sure what you are trying to make a point against TW still?

TW has investment alot in WNY since adelphia and alot of shit is going on behind scenes to free up bandwidth in their existing system.

FTTH is nice, let me just say if i could get it at a good deal i’d go with it probably… Now with that aside, FTTH is a gimmick, noone will need that much bandwidth off the pole and into their basement, its their because they need the equipment to turn optical (fiber) into RF (coax)
For those that have verizon, i’d heard the electric bill goes up once this is installed, is that true? I’m not stating this as a point, so don’t bash if its not, just a very simple question.

Verizon will have the upper hand for awhile, then another company will come out with a newer product, this is how it always is. One company has the upper hand until it gets passed, which is happening to TW fast in WNY.

v .90 was standard in 98

56k was introduced in '94.

Not sure why we are still talking about dialup…

And i’m sure you can get it installed, anything can be done with the right amount of $$$… What are you waiting for?

Gold must be better, right?

about another 30k a month

I remember all the people that used to scream at the top of their lungs that adelphia/tw was a monopoly…

I guess dish, dtv and now fios is just an imagination.

And with that i’m out, for today anyway.

I’ll switch from TW when they bring in that DL cap BS that they have in Ohio now.

up for the morning

Whats the fastest speed TW offers to your door step residential internet?

Everyone I know has had major TW internet issues…Verizon DSL users not so much…I have a few clients who run FiOS with 0 issues…while customers with “business class” cable internet get fucked over and over…

TW doesn’t guarantee any speed to your door. That’s the problem. Sometimes you can get 10Mbs, and others you are lucky to get 500Kbs

i thought it was all on how close you were to the “hub” and how many people in your area had it

ex… i live next door to the “hub” and im the only one i get 500
ex2 …me and 50 other people are on it i get 75

am i right here

Well

How close you are to he hub would be more of a DSL issue…

How many people are on in your area is a cable internet issue…

It has nothing to do with proximity and everything to do with how many people are connected to the same hub. More people downloading, the slower it is for everyone.

i max out, and when i dont max out its usually usenet thats having the issues.

:gotme: ok so i mixed the two…

fuck all you i like my dial up…

ok your right i cant even use it b/c i get mad at it

I think jabbu has some sort of profit sharing setup with TW…

I’m not reading the thread or waiting for a response but I’ll say my piece.

Why shouldn’t Time Warner pay for the most watched channels on TV (network TV stations)? They’re the ones their customers want to see more than any others as per TV ratings. They pay for the Food Network and other channels whose viewer base is a tiny fraction of a network station.

This seems like a no brainer. They won’t be broadcasting over the airwaves much longer and how many people do you know that get their TV reception in that manner anyways? I don’t see how that’s a legitimate argument.

you should have read some of the thread. Analog signals will not be broadcast after feb 19. Digital will still be broadcast over the airwaves.

That’s what I get for not having time to read…lol

My opinion stands.
