We can’t beat the islanders but We’ve beat the Bruins the past 2 times we’ve played.
x2 I mean its not like we got destroyed by the Islanders, I though we played well, we just couldn’t find the end of the net.
I thought the D and goaltending was pretty solid. The offense was trying to get a little too cute with the puck rather than just unloading on the goalie. Teams are playing 4 men back it’s not gonna be easy to stick handle through the offensive zone anymore.

Well today sucked for the sabres, with the Pens winning we are now in 9th. Plenty of games to get back into this, but we need to start scoring.
no lie…doesn’t help either that we don’t play till wednesday. Hopefully Vanek will be back and possibly miller.

The Sabres held a meeting for about 3 and a half hours before Monday’s practice at the H.S.B.C. Arena. The team has dropped 3 straight games, scoring just 3 goals during that streak.
Maxim Afinogenov skated on a line with Tim Connolly and Ales Kotalik. Thomas Vanek is expected to return from a broken jaw this week. Vanek was on a line with Derek Roy and Drew Stafford.
I’m firmly on the max sucks bandwagon but at this point it’s not like he’s going to hurt anything. Maybe him being benched for a while (he’s been ready to play for a while from the sounds of it) will be the push he needs to score. We all know no one else is.
Either way Vanek will be a nice addition.
Miller isn’t going to score any goals so that doesn’t solve anything

word. Ellis has been busting his ass. Maybe he’s not a great goal scorer, but he’s puting out more effort than half the supposed goal scorers.
Effort usually doesn’t score goals. Peters could bust his ass 10x more than anyone else and he’s not gonna be a goal scorer.

fuck. bench hetch or pommer and bring max up. gives max a chance, and gives one of those two the realization that they need to step up. Fuck. Lindy benched vanek in the playoffs a couple years back but he wont bench hecht or pominville now? wtf
x2 he’s skates like a bat out of hell…The whole time he’s charging for the puck. I’m guessing he’s traded. Why risk him getting hurt again when trade deadline is right around the corner.
