Just watched his press conference. Class act all the way. Iâm sure everyone in WNY wishes Lindy well, regardless of if you wanted him as a coach anymore or not.
Love watching the rebounds bounce from the front of Miller. Shot comes in, puck bounces out, usually makes it to the point where everyone is cluster fucked in front of the net screening him. This really is becoming a common thing and its very irritating, especially when on a penalty kill. Cover the puck, gives a chance to change lines if players are tired, win the face off, clear the puck out the zone. Also covering a puck slows down the game for your team when needed.
None of the goals were on Miller last night. Heâs been playing excellent.
Definitely miss Lindy after that press conference.
Why do so many people think changing the coach was going to make them instantly play better?
Because they didnât want Lindy to be fired and are pointing as last nightâs loss as some retarded indicator they were right?
This has been driving me absofuckinglutely crazy. The coach had one practice with his new team!!!
I wouldnât say instantly, but it does. ::see Anaheim:: . If people think that switching coaches will instantly make them the best team in the league, their wrong.

actually it was a game day skateâŚdidnât really even have time to implement anything, even if he wanted to. He did however distribute ice time A LOT better last night.
I shouldnât have said practice, your right. Personally, I am glad they lost last night.

Yep Hecht was down to 8min I believe, Ehrhoff was around 28 I want to say.

I thought that Leopold was involved in a trade too, but then I did hear that he took a puck to the hand in practice 2 days agoâŚwho knows though.

Hecht should be completely benched. Healthy scratch benched. When was the last time he demonstrated some real heart or drive like Kaleta and mccormick displayed on a nightly basis. Its obvious Hecht doesnât play the same role but if he isnât good enough to play and contribute on the second line, why did he get reupped?! He constantly bails from any contact, turns the puck over and takes bad penalties. Fuck. Him and TJ the superstar brennan are going to push me over the edge with these guys.
Doesnt matter. Rebounds can not happen with the guys we have on our team. Gues are left open, a lot of the rebounds make it out to the point, which our offense never seems to cover/nor put a body on after they take a shot (something I was always taught to do)
Its little things about this team that piss me off. The basics we are taught all our life growing up. Someone takes a shot from the point, you put a body into them and make them pay for taking a shot at your net. Make him think twice about letting it go. The fact that our players toss the puck up the to try and clear the zone without actually playing it smart, which turns out being sent back into the corner or turned over. The fact that defense/last man back decides its ok to make a cross ice pass in our own zone when breaking out, then not following up his pass when the last man to make sure it doesnt get intercepted. Man I can keep going on shit that this teams bugging me with⌠but they need more work than just the coach.
Lets just go on record as saying the the Sabres are missing 2-4 mediocre/good guys, two really good guys and a bonified superstar, in order to win anything. Make em goalies, make em defensemen or power forwards. It doesnât matter. We have probably the least amount of depth in the league. Probably behind Calgary and Florida⌠stats donât lie.
Everybody says its not the coach, but it does start with the coach. I feel like Lindy wasnât connecting with the players anymore. It was obvious when you watch them play. They look lost and not working as a team. I think the idea is to get the new coach to try and find a way to connect these guys and bring out the good in them. You can say they have no talent, but guess what, thatâs what the coach is there for.
I do think this team is talented and I think they are misrepresented by the standings. They do need some more players though. Iâm pretty excited for Markov and possibly see what Girgensons can do. Porter is a good two-way player from what Iâve picked up, so he may be another player that can rebound this team. Hecht I canât stand anymore. At first I wasnât really bothered by the signingâŚit was cheap, one year, and he wasnât a terrible player.
