if only it were that easy…

Still got it? This would be worth a try. Reflash the firmware, not just reset it. If this doesn’t work it’s definitely cocked hardware.

Someone needs to make a smart phone with battery life for people who actually use it.

how would they make money on extended batteries then. I’d love a battery that can last even 2 days without a charge with medium usage.

I mean between these teired data plans and shitty battery life we’re buying smartphones that limit the phone severely. I have to pay more money for an extended battery or an extra charger so I can use my phone the whole day? I need to move to the next data tier because I use my phone as intended? I can’t use 4G on my phone because my battery would be dead in about 4 hours…come on.

Yea but I don’t care if its was $800 I would just make work pay for it…

They need to make a better tier of fucking phones.

People who need it will pay more money for a better product same reason people buy BMWs when a Yaris does the same thing.

Meh. At this point I’m ready to say that if you use your phone like a desktop (and since they are as powerful as desktops now, with data speeds as fast or faster than most home connections) don’t get pissed when that stack-of-post-its-sized battery doesn’t last your pocket desktop more than a few hours.

Shut off data and don’t spend a ton of time with a 4-5" HD screen on full brightness and you’ll get a few days out of any smartphone.

But I work in a job that I need a smart phone and all its sweet functions for 8+ hours.

I don’t understand people’s obsessions with refusing to charge midday. I also don’t understand people who can use 4+ gig of data per month. What can you possibly do on your 4" screen phone that you need that much data? Tethering is the only thing I can accept as an answer.

Some people just need to get a laptop. If a laptop is not portable enough for you, then I have nothing else to say. I’ll just get out my tiny violin.

Example that Razer MAXX can do 8.5 hours of constant data no issues…

I also have one of those battery packs and I do charge mid day its just an annoyance.

Next week I’ll test my phone. I’ll enable 4G the whole day with Wifi On. I’ll use it normally and we’ll see what the battery and data are like. Keep in mind I’m running a Jelly Bean ROM which for the most part has improved battery life.

I had a 60+ year old yesterday using 13 gigs a month.

what the fuck was he doing to use 13 gigs a month?

I think battery life will be the next “killer app”

Downloading kiddy porn consumes massive bandwidth?

My S3 has issues with battery life. It will be great for days/week then out of the blue it drops like crazy, 10% and hour. No changes in use, nothing showing up task manager or GSAM battery monitor. Day or two it goes back to normal, all day off charge and still 50% at 10 oclock at night.

good day

Haha my 2 year old droid x is still kicking and getting me 50+ hours on one charge

The graph seems to indicate to me that you were out of signal range and your phone was constantly searching for signal.

Pull battery for a hard reset and back to normal. Same location, normal use. 2.5 hours and only dropped 3%

mobile network signal unchanged as well…interesting

It seems to be common, few threads on android forum on it. Has to be a software rogue app issue.

next time it happens take a picture of your running processes

My s3 was unplugged on my nightstand for 8 hours… only dropped 1% all night.

(running blazerrom now, only syncing my gmail.)
