I guess NFC is sweet

reset subway cards

ahahah awesome!

It was $4 and made me stop hating the useless stock keyboard. I don’t mind supporting a developer who does that.

But, this does bring up a good question. Is there an installous equivalent on android? Or is there another way to get your pirated apps?

Just unclick the box in the phone’s settings to allow non approved apps to be loaded. Then you can load anything from outside the Play store.

Android noob

Check the settings box to allow untrusted sources

there actually is a program I believe that will download the apps. Installing them from unknown sources will install that version only. Any updates will not be pushed down.

You can download the apks from anywhere transfer them to the device via USB/dropbox/whatever then just run them to install.

Keeping in mind there is a bunch of trojan/malware etc so just make sure whatever you grabbed is legit

Screwing small community devolopers, meh. I’d rather pay a few bucks. You’ve got to be seriously cheap to pirate $1-5 apps. You’re not gonna get that many of them.

+1

I get into this argument with my friend all the time. He believes all apps should be free. I feel if the developer does a good job, puts out a nice product, why not toss a couple bucks his/her way. Plus once you buy it…you own it. You have a $500 cell phone but can’t pony up for a $.99 app? Really?

All software should be free. Nobody should be rewarded in any way for their time, knowledge and hard work.

idiots.

Linux?

MySQL?

PHP?

Yeah, I generally pay for my apps (the exception was the TomTom app that I simply thought was grossly overpriced so I didn’t feel bad at all pirating it). My problem right now is there are 100’s of RDP apps, many of them with no free demo, and I haven’t found one of the free ones or free demo ones that I like. I’m not willing to drop $4-$5 just to demo an app for 10 seconds and say “yep, this one sucks too”.

Plus, buying the app makes updates so much easier.

The grace period is 15minutes…If it sucks, and before 15 minutes has elapsed from your purchase you can get a refund and uninstall it.

That’s really cool. Does it work every time?

Yep, just part of the play store. Make sure you’ve got some time to give it a quick eval, say in the crapper at work or something. Download it from the play store, play with it, if you don’t like it go back to the play store and you can click a refund button where there used to be a purchase/install button on the app’s page.

I haven’t actually used it. I was going to with widget locker, but got caught up with work and missed the window.

That didn’t take long
