Huge +1 to this
He already has a Motorola Droid … so I doubt switching platforms is going to be enjoyable
I just played with the HTC One X+ and like it alot. The name sucks ass though.
I wouldnt doubt that we wont see one, I find it hard to believe that for the past 2 years they have been releasing a CDMA version phone (sprint/verizon) then just suddenly only release a GSM phone.
Not to mention all the backlash they have been getting for not releasing it with LTE
As much as I hate to admit it, I’d agree.
That NoteII is fucking huge might be old people friendly even though its a mini tablet.
mike, how are you doin with the ipad? if you like it, you might be best off with an iphone.
The ipad is nice but it seems like there are few short comings although it more than likely is me. lol One example is trying to fix mispelled words, the damn thing won’t let me put the curser in the middle of a word to fix the spelling! Is there no delete key? I have to go to the end of the word and backspace which seems lame.
Thanks for all of the advice guys. I will have to go to the Verizon store and check them out.
edit: I have a wireless router at home but I can’t seem to get the ipad to find it. I went to the settings page but there was a bunch of stuff on there I had no clue about.lol
Click and hold to navigate to the middle of a word.
Get an iPhone
get an android… i just bought an iphone 5 since i have a galaxy s3 for work and didnt want two of the same phones
the ONLY good thing about the iphone 5 is the resale value… ive had facebook crash, downloaded apps showing up twice and cant get rid of untill i reset the phone, battery life is horrible… and screen size still sucks
As Fry pointed out there are so many good droids on Verizon right now. If I was recommending one of them to someone who just wants to buy and forget I would get the Droid Razr Maxx. Battery can EASILY last 2 days. Galaxy S3 or Droid DNA if you prefer top o’ the line features/specs.
Also - Note 2 is like holding an iPad to your face. But it has received good reviews.
ATT S3
I enjoy the extra battery life, but i would trade that in for the latest features. Honestly, the extra battery life isn’t even that spectacular

So what do I need to do to my rooted but stock rom AT&T Galaxy S3 to get the official 4.1.1 update installed?
magic
Probably unroot.
If I decide to sell this thing and get a dumb phone is there any sort of cancellation fee to ditch the data?
nope.
lol… someone needs an iPhone.
PS… ran Triangle Remove and then Samsung Kies was able to update me to 4.1.1.
Naw I love this phone, just looking at ways to simplify and save money and even being on the road without a cell phone hasn’t been that bad. There’s something to be said for unplugging.
