found this neat app called slidescreen, it changes your home screen so it is less iphone like. takes a bit to get use to but i think its neat and it shows that you can pretty much change any aspect of the android OS. cant really run any widgets with it right now but they say on their site they are working on that
there is a free version with adds so you can try it out

The locale app was suggested to me because I wanted my phone to know by gps location when I’m in school/work/etc and mute the phone. Yeah I can do it myself, but just checking. There were 94 results on the Market when I checked - anyone use it and which one exactly is it?
I didn’t realize they are now charging $10 for locale. You can use an app called Timeriffic to set up profiles based on time of day.

Ok so I got my HTC hero today and I was fiddling with the youtube app and it wont play. It just keeps saying that its unavailable to play at this time for every video. Anyone else have that issue?
youtube is working fine for me
yeah I figured it out this morning actually, Some videos will play some will not. Idk why exactly but i guess im ok with it.

This app has a reverse Heads Up Display so you can place it on your dash and read the speed off your windshield!!! It also has other schweeeeeet features like g meter, speed warning and compass. Better than other speedo apps if you ask me.
If you have a droid and you are on a car forum this app is a must.
droid question how the hell do you delete folders off you desktop?
Um wat? I’m assuming you want to remove apps off your main screen? Just press the icon until it vibrates, and drag it to the trash.

Why does my GPS only work once in a while? When I click maps it does not find my location and when I am in Speed Hud it does not work all of the time. The little satallite thingy is blinking at the top of the screen but it does not seem to work 80% of the time.
