10.04?

I am still on 9.10, been too busy at work to deal with the hassle of upgrading and tweaking

Looks like I’m going to be returning my sprint hero and trying to find an evo.

It was a little over the 30 day return policy so I had to spend almost two hours convincing them to send me a return kit but they finally agreed to take the phone back and reset my upgrade eligibility . Gotta love the retention dept.

I was looking around…does AT&T have an Android phone yet?

yes 2 maybe 3

Sadly ATT doesnt have anything very good. Im sure apple is happy about that.

:frowning: … I want to see if I can change out my work iPhone 3G for something that isn’t shitty. I’m an android fan so I wanted to get an android phone. Maybe I’ll see about the iPhone 4 ::sigh::

<EDIT>
HTC ARIA? Yes? No?

There is a cool samsung coming to ATT soon, I think ATT will be releasing it as the galaxy but every company is getting a variation of it.

I wish my phone lost reception when I touched it so I could get a free case… Nah I like having a phone that does what I want it to. iphone=slushbox android=6 speed

I also posted in the iphone thread cause they are all idiots

iPhone + Apple consumers = ignorant…This is why you don’t RUSH OUT and get the newest latest phone, cause most of the time it has bugs, or in this case physical problems. I am fine with my droid not having reception issues unless I hold it like a retard. I’m glad I don’t have to buy a case just to have my phone work properly. I’m glad that I can pretty much do whatever I want to my phone without jailbreaking it. I’m glad I didn’t buy an Apple product.

Alright bros and bras, ordered my incredible yesterday. once i get it, what should I do with it? I’ve been blackberry for so long i have no idea…

^in, because i just got the evo and i am lost at what to do next…

what are the benefits of rooting it?

also dowload advanced task manager… so you can instantly close all apps… also make an exception for the alarm (so you dont set one and disable it right after)

The droid phones are pretty customizable on their own…not sure about rooting them.

Task manager is good to have. I love run keeper. Pretty much acts like one of those garmin watches that keep track of where you run/walk then it places your route on a map. PDA net is just like tetherberry where you can USB or tether your phone to act as a modem without having to pay tether charges.

Rooting allows you to use wifi tether and remove pre installed software that you don’t want. There are some apps that require root but a stock android phone is a million times more forgiving than an iphone so you really don’t have to root unless you want to do some really advanced shit.

Wifey’s Incredible showed up yesterday. The thing is damn nice. I was surprised that it’s the exact same size as my Nokia E72. I see 800 pixel wide screen and just assume that it’s big. Nope.

She’s by no means a phone geek and is coming from an Iphone, and seems to be pretty happy with it so far. As soon as Angry Birds comes out for Android she’ll be thrilled. :stuck_out_tongue:

astro file manager
batterytime lite
google earth, sky map, voice, shopper
foxyring
handcent sms
voice caller ID

Must haves IMO

^what phone do you have now?
