Shut off the phone
While holding the X button, turn the phone back on.
You should see an exclamation graphic
Hold the camera button and press the volume up button
Select Clear Cache, reboot the phone after it finishes.

What does that delete… will I lose any saved data or photos? Also I have an evo…

Shouldn’t delete it. I’m not familiar with the EVO…might be a different boot up than the droids

isn’t that basically a factory reset?

Nope…clears the cache partition…there is another option for a factory reset.

MOAR ANGRY BIRDS! YAYYYYYY

Is there a cache seperate from the internet cache?

yes

researching it… Cant seem to find anything other than settings – apps-- manage progs… clear cache (on individual progs)

Nope this should be pre-boot…before you are even at your home screen.

Is your battery still sucking the chode? Maybe it’s a bad battery?

Probably already tried these but here are some tips anyway:

Maybe i’ll stop at sprint and complain, im not rooted or anything. and yea, ive tried most of those i think.

they’ll probably make you do a factory reset before anything.

Could just be a bad battery

Just got a brand new battery from Sprint… wish me luck… lol (its at 31% now) lol. it came in with 40ish on it. Maybe I’ll just bite the bullet and do a full factory reset…

is there a simple root option for froyo yet?

Prog, are you rooted? did you see an improvement from rooting? what model are you using?

My X has been unplugged for 33 hours and has 60% left. K9 synced, facebook synced brightness on auto, launcherpro with 5 screens and a handful of widgets running… no live background

That’s so impressive. Ugh

Negative…But I might later this week. I’m on the original Droid running 2.2. With wifi on, and syncing on multiple accounts turned way down (off on my work account), I can last about 2 whole days before needing a charge.

rooting wont show any battery improvements, if anything it will make it worse with all the extra stuff you can do lol

Well you can manage the cpu and stuff via rooting. I honestly haven’t tried it so I can’t say.

will…there is a one click root for the evo with froyo…very easy.

as for the battery issue, thats new to me. i’ve had no battery issues when i was stock.

however…i am having random rebooting issues with the phone, which seems to be a a well known problem.
