i have the incredible and it did a software update this morning and now i don’t have the normal weather thing, it won’t load the weather, just my location and nothing is there. does anyone know how to get it back?
Is it a widget? If so try deleting it and re adding it
no its the thing thats under the clock on the main screen that comes with the phone
can you delete it and re add it?
That whole thing is just a widget
long press with your finger (on the widget), drag to trash
to put it back, long press on an empty spot, choose widget, find the widget you want

thrw droid out window because it deleted all my conversations/text messages just randomly…wtf…
did you pocket delete? I’ve never heard that problem before?!? Using the stock messenger or handcent
yeah, I would recommend getting handcent and seeing if handcent can see them

I just saved a nice chunk of change with this. You HAVE to be persuasive though… they know who they sent their e-mails to so you will most likely have to go through a supervisor in order for them to apply this to your account. They saw that I wasn’t on the list of people to get this promotion… but after bitching about some of the issues I’ve had with my phone they did me the favor…

I got some sort of OS update yesterday, since the update my phone has been giving me loading screens far more often than before the update. For example when i swipe across the 5 screens that are available I get a white HTC loading screen. This rarely happened before the update. I get the same symptoms when I open and close applications on occasion. This has been very annoying… Anyone know what it could be? my software still says 2.2(froyo) so its not like i somehow got a beta version of 2.3(gingerbread) or something… any thoughts on how to fix this… I restarted my device twice since the update yesterday, and i have basically had to remove and replace every widget to get them to work again since the update.
-I am not rooted
-I have not installed any new applications in the last couple of days.

It’s a loading screen where the widget is or the whole screen says loading? Does it eventually load?
whole screen turns white with green htc letters and says loading. it does load. i just dont understand why it needs to load so often when it didnt before.
Did all the battery tweeks (for the most part)
been off the charger for 5 hours, using the web quite a bit today… at 75% right now… I can handle this.
Might want to get all your data off and do a factory reset, then apply the updates again. Did you install and manual 2.2 or 2.1 upgrades?
Should get yourself at least a day out of the batter. I tested mine out and I average around 2 days off the charger before I get the low battery warning.
