it came with 2.1 if I recall correctly and I waited for verizon to push 2.2 to me.
edit: the update i got yesterday was not 2.2, I have had 2.2 for a couple months now. this update was something else. what? i do not know…
What’s the build number? The original droid got 2 versions of 2.2 also. The latest one was to support flash (specifically so it showed up in the market place). So you could get multiple 2.2 versions with different build numbers.

Droid Incredible got a recent update that was a bunch of bug fixes as well as the new VCast App Store. Sounds like something is messed up with your phone. Either look it up online, or go to the store and do a factory reset. Sucks, but every now and then some shit like this happens with updates. My fiance got the same update and had zero issues with it. You may have an app/widget/setting/etc… that just doesn’t work well with the update or something. A factory reset is the only sure way to get everything back to a stable state. If the phone doesn’t work right after that, Verizon will likely swap it out for a new one.
That’s the Nov update, If you go to menu > preferences > homescreen settings > default screen, is it set to 3?
If nothing else I’d try a factory reset…make sure you grab all the pics and whatnot off before you do it though. Mark down any programs you need to redownload.

Verizon is not going to replace a physically damaged phone under warranty. They cover the phone for manufacturer defects, not stupidity.
Do you have insurance on the phone? That’s going to be the only way to get it replaced($50 deductable).
ok so ive got a couple questions for people running droid… [i dont know if its just my evo or if it happens with the droid/incredible/droid X]
but every now and then if i am in my text messages and go to open up a certain text it opens up a random text chat from another person.
its not a huge deal but def annoying.
also, does anyone have a link to download a free copy of swype for the evo?

sometimes with my incredible when i select a conversation it will scroll to the very top… but not often… I think it opened the wrong person on me once…
no i dont have insurance… i think im just gonna buy a broken incredible off ebay and fix mine… i am 98% sure verizon will just laugh at me.
fixed my loading screen issue… i removed all the widgets and icons on each on of my screens because apparently they were all stacked up twice. meaning my pandora button was really two pandora buttons on top of one another. after i removed all the duplicates the loading screen issue seemed to have gone away. If anyone has a similar issue, try this fix.
