Yeah that was a common problem with the new update. A few users complained about duplicate icons.

i have the incredible and it does that maybe once a day…i agree it is annoying

Can anyone help me here. I have a Droid X and for some reason it wont charge now when its hooked up to my computer. I used to but now it wont. Any ideas?

Try switching USB ports

Did that. Not working at my work computer either. I plugged it into the wall with the same cord and it charged with no problems.

when you plug it in, does it give you the options, charge, sync, hard drive, etc etc…?

obviously to the pc

Not anymore. I’m not sure what the heck is going on.

Still not working. I’m just gonna take it into the store tomorrow and see what the heck I gotta do.

doubt it has anything to do with the phone if it charges fine when plugged into the wall, gotta be something you did to your computer. perhaps you didn’t eject the device properly or something?

If you research online a ton of people have come across the same thing. I tried it with my girlfriends computer, my work computer and my own computer.

So I decided to restart my phone and pull the battery out and now it charges fine. So glad I don’t have to go to Verizon now.

^shoulda tried that first lol.

if anyone can help me that would be great…i have the droid incredible and verizon. about a year ago, we had someone hack into our account and use my number and rack up data and minutes on my number from Argentina…i was just looking at my phone and the weather widget said i was in Trienta y Tres, Argentina, and also my places app when i clicked on restaurants it said close to buenes aires, argentina, i tried to call verizon and the people on the phone for customer service don’t know what they’re talking about and some don’t even speak english. so maybe someone could help me. after i take out the battery and restart it, it says that i’m back in orchard park, but after a while it goes back to Argentina…i don’t know what to do, oh and i called *228 and programmed it…thanks for the help!

cliffs…my phone thinks i’m in argentina…

my original droid does this all the time. it’s lead to several wrongly sent text messages

All the Verizon people I’ve spoke to (mainly for FiOS) have been easy to understand Americans. For a while my Google Maps was reading in kilometers instead of miles, it drove me nuts. Log into your Verizon account and check out all your info…I’d also recommend changing your password to log into it.

Yeah for VZW wireless you have to call during US business hours and talk to billing. Just keep bitching until you get someone from the US … from my personal experiences the outsourced script reading indians can’t do shit for you.

okay, yeah they gave me the fraud department number to call and they weren’t open yesterday so i have to call their number today. and i’ll try to change the password online, i’ll have to get it from my mom…but should i just shut off my phone and take the battery out for a bit when it shows i’m in argentina?

Was it WB having issues with the battery? I’d try removing any applications that use the network. Any apps or games that you don’t really use.

I recently downloaded the KeyRing app, and added all my loyalty cards to it. It seems really cool, not I just gotta see if you can scan the barcodes from my phone.

Yea my battery hates me lol.
