Strange I sbfed to 2.3.34 which I had maderstock 2.3.34 on it before it tried to update and it didn’t technically sbf lol.
It went back to normal before it tried to update. Rooted on 2.3.340 with all my apps background and whatnot still there. Whatever it works. I will make sure when i upgrade to gingerbread to do a wipe and then load the OTA update.
Is gingerbread worth it over 2.3.340?
Edit: Wait maybe it isn’t rooted because bootstrap and superuser aren’t working
Found something I really dislike about the commando…
Its a PIA to send out a mass text. I can select contacts from my phone book to send a text to at once, I can type different names in the TO: area and it will pull them up, but I can’t scroll and choose.
I can create a group and mass text that group but its a pain in the ass to make the group.
you can’t download handcent sms?
No idea, haven’t looked into another SMS setup yet.
I love handcent, very customizeable with skins and fonts and such

muahahaha lol after my sbf i got ballsy and tried the ota again because i figured it wasn’t rooted anymore, now running gingerbread. 
I like the look of the status bar and whatnot. I’m still using launcherpro plus though

Love GoSMS but with the new gingerbread update mine was telling me after every msg I sent that it was not delivered, even though it was.
just updated my evo to 2.3 and I am pretty disappointed. still running sense 1.0, sooo pretty much none of the gingerbread eye candy was included. And they didnt include the 2.3 keyboard which is supposed to be awesome. I think I am going to get rid of this and try to get my hands on a nexus S…
OH and had I known this update was going to be so lame, I would have rooted my phone and removed all the bloatware… Now I have to wait for someone to figure out how to root 2.3 :tspry:
I updated to gingerbread, and everything went fine, but I no longer have root access. TBH i was going to unroot anyways, because I don’t use anything that i need to be rooted for. But now my problem is that I can’t delete the super user app… how do i get rid of it?

Noticed that too, its pretty and all, but it is draining my battery at least twice as quickly.
I pulled my battery for 5 min and then cleared out my cache partition and my battery life is substantially better currently unplugged for 27 hours and have 70% battery
Just updated a coworkers EVO to 2.3.3 (Gingerbread)…No UI changes, seems like it should have been a minor Froyo update rather than a new OS version. Anyone else see something I don’t?
