My atrix decided to not want to use the earpiece speaker during a call. Only way for me to make a call was to use speakerphone. Otherwise the speaker worked for everything else. Att didn’t want to hear about it since I didnt have insurance but they would sell me a new one at 449. Motorola said send it in it has a 1 year warranty.

I don’t hedge my bets on anything that is 6 months out. Everyone was all wet in the pants when the Droid Bionic was announced and look where that got us.

A couple sites have reported those Nexus specs, Android and Me says nuh uh. I’m just posting what I’ve seen. Although for a phone that’s supposed to be all about google, the camera is kinda lacking. No 8MP yet? I may hold off on an upgrade to see if any Ice Cream Sandwhich phones come out around November maybe even October.

Anyone running a custom Rom or mod on the Droid OG? My phone’s starting to act it’s age and I’d like to put something a bit more snappy on it. Maybe looking at the Cyanogen stuff.

Even Cyanogenmod 7 is going to be sluggish on the OG Droid. I ran it for a while before breaking down and getting a used Incredible.

And I’m running CM7 on the DX. I have a feeling I’ll be jumping back to Liberty soon, but I’ve got to play with it!

I haven’t been following the news with the CM7 and the DX, is it a stable release yet?

Still beta. Camera doesn’t work. Lots of bugs. It’s merged with the main CM tree (whatever that means) and getting nightlies, but AFAIK you’ve got to buy rom manager premium to get them.

I’ll play with it a bit longer, but GB Liberty is smooth and solid at v0.8 so I’ll probably stick with that ultimately.

Tiered data plans coming to Verizon.

Do I rush to get a phone now even though there isn’t a 4G phone I want? Do I wait and see what the family data share plans are going to look like? Do I suck it up because pricing will change again in the future anyways?

Ugh! My girlfriend is furious right now. She is waiting for the Samsung Galaxy S 2 phone to be released since she doesn’t like the Charge, DX2 or Incredible2. Now what? She doesn’t want to rush to get a data plan, but it looks like she may not have a choice… if she wants to get in on the unlimited data plan…

while it sucks that they’re doing tiered plans, I would be willing to bet that 90% of Droid phone users probably only use ~1GB per month.

I wish they would have dropped prices a bit…but w/e. As stated above 2GB is WAAAYYYY more than most think.

yeah, 20-25 is more reasonable for the 2GB plan. Oh well, I’ll be sticking with the 2GB plan for sure.

Hopefully they’re gonna also do a family share on data actually. That might work out great.

That would be awesome…Just checked past bills both my fiancee and I combined have yet to reach 1GB in a month. Most months we barely his 1/2 a gig.

By making sure I only download silly big files like roms over wifi I’d have no trouble staying under a gig or so per month. No big deal. This will only affect the jackwagons that are tethering all the time and eating all my bandwiches.
