i was debating on the transformer of the samsung galaxy tab 10.1, the transformer is nice but a little too heavy so I got the galaxy tab
Alright. I’m wondering if anyone else is having this problem. After I downloaded GingerBread for my Droid X it worked great. Now what has been happening is the service will get stuck on 2 bars without the 3G or the 1x highlighted and it wont change until I turn the phone off then on again. Also sometimes when I try and make a call the phone will automatically end the call and will keep doing that until I turn the phone off and back on. It seems like something has been going wrong every day now. Any way to fix this or has anyone else had the same problems?
I have been ATT for a few years now. They give me a huge discount and I really have never had a service problem with them any worse then when I was with Verizon. My 450 minute plan with rollover which is a huge help since my cell is my work phone, unlimited any network mobile to mobile, and unlimited data/texts for less than $80 is hard to beat.

Jebus. Nook color for $189.99. My wife would kill me…
To think I paid $250 for my nook wifi a year ago. It’s less than half that now.
Fuck me I have the touch of death with cell phones. My wife’s 29 day old iPhone4 is defective. (Speaker doesn’t work) So I went to the VZW store and they told me to pound salt. They would either send me a refurbed phone to replace my brand new one or I could go to the Apple store. So I went to the Apple store and they didn’t have any appointments left at their Genius Bar, of all the Macfaggotry…
Meanwhile I had my first DX replaced because the speakerphone mic didn’t work, the replacement’s home keys didn’t light up but I lived with it for almost a year but got it replaced while still under warranty so that I could have a fully functional phone in case I ever want to sell it, so now I’m on my third and the screen randomly stops responding to touch. #4 is in the mail. This is taking me back to two years ago when I went through six blackberry Tours and ended up cancelling my contract and going to AT&T. Never should have come back…
lol, fry you should just give up and get a tin can with some rope
Land line.
Weird, I haven’t have any problems with my X at all like that
just ordered droid 3.
I have a couple really big noob questions…
first off I have a rooted Droid Incredible running FusionICE-beta-1 with 2.3.2(gingerbread)
I am kind of bored with this setup, and want to try a new rom. Any recommendations on roms? I would like to stick with gingerbread and I don’t really have any other preferences. I used to have a stock incredible and kind of miss some of the sense capabilities… but its not necessary.
any suggestions?
Here comes the noobness:
- if I switch roms do I lose all of my data/apps?
- anyone know of a good guide to switching roms?
Thanks for any and all help
edit:
this looks interesting anyone try Liberation?
Yeah you’ll probably have to wipe to switch roms successfully so back up all of your shit and make a list of stuff to reinstall.
There’s a stable build of Cyanogenmod for the Incredible, which is pretty much the biggest/best ROM out there. Try that.
There’s a ton of info on how to install CM. Just use google.
^^ Thanks ill check it out
CM7 for Droid Incredible rocks
With most ROMs you will have to wipe data/cache. Apps automatically download from the market though. Also, you can backup your text messages with GoSMS. To switch roms easily, just get ROM Manager. Then download the ROM file to your SD Card, go into ROM Manager, choose Install ROM from SC Card. Find the file, let the magic happen. Choose to wipe cache/data if switching ROM.
fry you really should go back to a flip phone.
I would love to rock a startac again.
The problem with running a startac is that it would be ironic and people would think you’re some sort of hipster or something.
I can show you how to use it at lunch. bring your reading glasses.
ugh then we’d have to off him
If I were a hipster I’d off myself if it weren’t so mainstream.
So I am reading through this wiki on how to install the new rom on my incredible and I have a few questions.
- Do I have to flash the Radio? my device is already rooted and working, not sure if the flash for the radio is different for each rom or whatnot.
- What is S-OFF? System off?
Flashing CyanogenMod
- I should flash using “Recovery” or secondary method right?
- How do I Boot into the ClockworkMod Recovery?
