So, anyone know if Verizon will be getting a tablet/phone hybrid any time soon? I’d love to have a tablet to replace my phone, since I use the text/data capabilities much more than the phone call features.
You’d look pretty dumb holding a 10" tablet up to your head to make phone calls.
I find it really ironic that ~10 years ago we went through a period of doing everything we could to shrink phones. Now people want 10" tablets to make a phone call on lol.
Or pulling out an ipad to text your buddies at a bar to text your buddies.
I was thinking a mid-size tablet and headphones/mic for calls.
I am waiting anxiously for the Galaxy S II to come to big red…
Although Peter Alfonso’s GPA16 build on my OG Droid is fucking tits.
although its a sick phone if its not 4g its pointless really
Tried that one and found Cyanogen to be faster…there is another rom that I might try out too, if you’re interested.
The Droid OG is pretty damn flexible, I’ll definitely keep it around when I get my new phone. So far the Galaxy S II is only AT&T…that could change of course.
Yeah, I was thinking about that, but I have a 4G hotspot already…
boom.
oh shit galaxy s2 to have 4g LTE support!
edit: damn you boardjnky
eat my shit
lol
I just… jizzed, in my pants.
lol bionic what? Either the Bionic’s going to be really fucking good or motorola just got a knot in its stomach
Probably september from what I’m reading for the BIONIC. I’m hoping it’s baller as shit, if not the Galaxy II S is a nice substitute or the HTC Vigor with a dual 1.6 GHz processor and 720p display.
Galaxy S II is where it’s at. Cyanogenmod + Galaxy S II = Happiness
Took the captivate forever just to get froyo. They’ll prob release Gingerbread just as everyone else is getting the next one.
Samsung learned from their mistake on that big time. Their tablet line-up has been getting all the latest updates before any other company. Charge Gingerbread builds have leaked out already. Can’t imagine it will be long before that goes live.
Besides, none of that matters when you’re running community developed ROMs. Samsung actually shipped a galaxy s ii to the developers of cyanogenmod. That makes me PLENTY happy since Cyanogenmod is always very fast to release the latest android versions. I’ve been on gingerbread for so long that I don’t even remember froyo at all.
Transformer is getting 3.2 tomorrow :ohyeah:
