Well verizon exchanged my Fascinate with the Droid Charge. anything i need to know fellas ?
They exchanged it? Like under warranty?
pretty hefty upgrade…say nothing :snky:
And now verizon retracted their statement…
LOL, nobody is even supposed to know about the phone.
Reportedly, the FCC has a WiMax version in hand for Sprint. Reports are also suggesting that AT&T Model will be 4G. So, it’s doubtful that the Verizon version will be without LTE.
Epic took a shit from being dropped to many times, Just bought a nexus S. Hopefully I can get used to not having a keyboard >.>
there’s a issue with the latest software of the Fascinate, they will upgrade you to a few different phone. i picked the charge.
SO if you have a Fascinate go to Verizon say your not getting calls then getting a bunch of voicemails. and BOOM they’ll upgrade u for free! urwelcome
so google just updated gmail to 2.3.5…which they also blocked the gmail database access from 3rd party apps (like mine) now so none of them currently work. The only workaround is you have to be rooted and move the app to the system/app folder so it thinks is a system app.
This also causes a problem because now you wont know when that app is updated from the market
Last week I had an update notice to flash my EVO to gingerbread… I neglected, because i was afraid it would mess up my tethering ability (which i needed that week) Now I want the update and when i check for updates its not there?
Any ideas? and is gingerbread worth it?
You won’t really notice any UI changes updating the Evo to Gingerbread, due to the Sense UI hogging it. ON the other hand it may fix your flash issue. I’d have to look at the change log to see other improvements.
My internet has been super slow lately as well… I want to flash a bare rom and see how the battery and what not improve, but last time I tried I got an error message “current version is newer than previous version”
And then i get scared and worry about losing all the stuff thats saved on my phone.
ROM Manager sir…you will need to backup your stuff and most likely do a factory reset from the recovery screen. You might be able to do it over the top, but I recommend starting clean…Believe me. I assume you’re rooted.
Nope stock EVO with z4root
My new evo 3d is getting redunkulous battery life. 3 days this last charge before it died. So happy about that.
Probably the only one rockin’ a DX2, but before the update to 2.3.3 my battery would run down to about 10% before I plugged it in and went to bed. After the update, not only are things smoother AND faster, but the battery is probably 20-25% left at the end of the day.
I stream Google Music Beta a lot, check/send emails/texts constantly throughout the day, GPS always on (not sure why…), lots of Angry birds.
Is there a version of Virtuous ROM for the Evo? If so try that, its a ROM designed to get as close to stock sense UI as possible, while making all the universally useful tweaks…though it may only be for the DINC, I’m not sure, I’ve been so deeply rooted in the Droid Incredible community for so long I know little about other Android phones…
Anyways, Droid Incredible 1 here, full s-off root, running Gingerbread MIUI and loving it, its the only ROM I have ever kept for an extended period of time or gone back to after trying different ones.
Isn’t there a way to sync people face book pictures into my contacts? I know I did it on my crackberry, but can’t seem to get it to work on the commando. It wants me to use pictures in my album?
I use syncmypix
I’m very tempted to flash my evo right now… I’m just scared. I want a step by step direction to back it up, flash, and then run the PERFECT rom… no messing around or bricking it.
Rom Manager will help you out a ton

Use the facebook settings to merge data with existing contacts. Your contacts will have to be spelled the same as on facebook though. So if “Bill Smith” in your phone has the name “Billy thefaggot Smith” on facebook, his shit won’t transfer.
