Welp, just came over from the dark side (BB) to an Android phone, and in the 5 days I’ve had it, I’ll never go back. I picked up a barely used Samsung Droid Charge for the VZW network because my BB Storm 2 finally shit the bed. I’m due for an upgrade anyways, but I’m waiting for my large VZW upgrade and my wife’s Sprint contract to be up; Plus hoping the S2 or Celox comes out on VZW.
Any suggestions for a starting point on this thing software wise? Not sure if I’m going to root it, or skin it, or etc. Just been using it as is for now and getting used to the new software world of Android.
That’s all well and good, but comparing to Samsung Galaxy S II is useless. They are not releasing it on VZW. The only promising devices on the horizon are HTC Vigor and the potential Nexus Prime. HTC fails at battery life, and Prime is only a rumor.
Waited this long for the Bionic, ended up getting a DX2 weeks ago. Now I’m in not due for an upgrade for quite a while and phones that blow the Bionic out of the water will be available (and probably more reliable/bug free) by then.
It’s a shame, really wanted a 4G phone, but didn’t want battery life that was teh suck.
Im over the bionic, now im waiting to see how this new nexus or first device running ICS pans out. If nothing comes of that then i will use my upgrade on the bionic
Really right now anything Dual Core and LTE is what I’m looking for…I’m limping along on the droid OG as well as my fiancee. I’ve rooted and romed both to increase the usage of them…October couldn’t come quicker.
So I killed my incredible last night by sending it through the washing machine… Is the thunderbolt the best droid out there for verizon? I need to replace it today on my way to yellowstone, and I don’t think I want to go the iphone route.
Bahahah no…doesn’t have gingerbread, and is a single core phone…If you can’t wait, I’d hit up the BIONIC, although ANY of the 4G LTE phones seem to have shitty battery life.
