I traded my shitty ass storm in on a tour.
my first black berry(i kept the storm for 2 days) and I friggen LOVE it.
SO much faster than the storm, and I was so used to typing on the Q that this thing i can type with ease.
One of the things I hate with a passion of the Tour is it’s so much slower than the bold, scrolling around/opening programs & messages/typing there always is a lag (and I have no programs running).
It’s getting really annoying when it takes 5-10 seconds to open a message and then when I type it has to catch up and hit send it takes another 5-10 seconds before I can do anything again.
Really? Man I haven’t had any problems with mine…except for a laggy lock button. I wish there was a app that would close all open apps
So I recently reactivated my blackberry and noticed my gmail account isn’t syncing with my blackberry gmail account. It only updates once I log into my gmail from my laptop.
Should I reinstall it or is there a newer version I am not aware of? I haven’t had time to check for updates on my laptop as I haven’t been home much due to work/gf.
I’m sure this is right under my nose but any help will be appreciated.
Syncing as in you delete something on the Blackberry and it doesn’t delete in your actual account?
If I get a message, it will only show up on my BB if I log on through a computer. It does delete messages on both sides.
Its not a huge issue, was just curious about it.
Finally got the go ahead to upgrade for HTML email 
And after getting over a nasty food illness I was able to do my upgrade today. HTML email from the BES is money.

Yeah 5.0.0.191 and up kicks ass. I’m just setting up 230 now.
Faster, better reception, way nicer look and feel, threaded SMS fucking finally (winmo’s only had it for 2 years), 3G icon instead of 1XEV :P, stand-alone icons for pictures, music, videos, file browing. No BBM5, Facebook, or Pandora but whatever. BBM5 isn’t that much neater than 4.7, and fuck facebook. The mobile site is fine. Slacker works so Pandora isn’t a big loss.
i am gonna be upgrading soon to a BB, shall i go with the newest Tour?

Either the tour or if you want a touch screen wait for the Storm 2. It should be coming shortly. Rumors have it that all new BB’s from here on will have wifi if that matters to you.

Anyone have problems with the cursor jumping around while they type or goofy characters getting dropped in? Happens to me fairly frequently. I’ll be tapping away and the cursor will jump back half a dozen characters so I’m typing in the middle of a word I just typed, or some fucked up special character will appear where I typed a standard “a”. I was typing one this morning and somehow a time stamp appeared where I had typed an apostrophe.
At first I just thought I had been imagining it, but it’s happened often enough that I’m pretty sure it’s a bug.

Woah. They fixed the headphone jack issue with 5.0.0.230. No matter how much I wiggle the worst pair of headphones I had, they keep playing. The music would still cut out even on 5.0.0.191.
Ok. So I bit the bullet and loaded 5.0.0.230 onto my Storm. I haven’t used any of the new OS builds since 4.7.0.148. I have to say, this OS is NICE!!! The flick scrolling is awesome. I can’t see myself going back to 4.7.0.xxx unless there is some serious show stopper that I find. This is how the Storm should have looked when it was originally released. Just in time for me to pickup a Storm 2 in a few weeks. lol.
The only thing stopping me from getting a storm2 is that it won’t fit in my charging cradle. Im super pissed about that. The latest OS updates have made this phone completely better. Initially it was really bad though.
