I had Resurgence Sponge Candy Stout last night. It was delicious.
 Had it when they put it on tap at Amherst Ale House, good stuff
the owner keeps little stock on purpose, for the sole reason of having fresh beer on the shelf. I was at their holiday party with a friend who works for him, nice guy and man does he love his beers

I waited in line the first time i went for heady for 3 hours, no lie…then after meeting some locals, they told me where to get it without the wait, say it with me now b0-de-ga
Going to 716 tonight. Can’t wait to try some new (to me) local brews. I hope CBW has their IPA on tap.
I like their 312 ales which got me hooked when they were local. Everyone hates on them cuz AB owns them and they are corporate now.
I am going there tonight. I am there a lot over the summer and can’t get in the mood for them. The only think the Octoberfest being $3.50 for a while was acceptable. The rest are mediocre at best. The building and layout is amazing to. Reminds me of Brooklyn Brewery.
CBW is awful. The only thing good about them is their business model and delivering kegs themselves.
No way, I love the Whale! The president of CBW used to work at my work, he’s also a certified Cicerone.
I don’t get too wrapped up in the parent company, although I do hate Budweiser anything.
Here’s my take and here’s how everyone should approach beer.
- Do I like the taste of this beer? If yes, drink it and/or buy more.
Shouldn’t matter who owns it, what the can looks like, how many ounces, etc. Just enjoy beer. You get some of these crazy guys that sink pour every fucking beer. You can also enjoy cheap beer for what it is. Grab a PBR or a Dog Bite or something like that.
I don’t believe CBW filters their source water… which makes the fixie hipster douches more loyal.
mmmm dogbite
yea I know of two places(actually more but i haven’t gone to those yet) that will sell you a whole case at a time per person
I have two trips planned to VT already this year to grab some heady and do some camping/hiking
I picked up a case when I was in VT at one place and multiple 4 packs at a couple others.
So because you know someone instantly makes them have good beer? Interesting. I usually go with how it tastes.
Cheap for me is Blue or Bush and only because I can crush an 18 pack like nothing and play drinking games. I can’t stand PBR mostly because people drink it for the look, not actually because they like it. If the following wasn’t hipsters, it may be more accepted as the go to cheap beer.
Lol I think you took my post out of context. I like their beer because it tastes good, I don’t really know Ethan other than the couple times I’ve chatted with him, when he worked here.
Blue is a great cheap beer and usually my go to. PBR does have that hipster following, I never really understood it, nor do I care. I think it goes down easy, is cheap and has a decent taste.
anyone score some KBS? i got 13 bottles total the other day, but it was a fucking nightmare…
also in for some heady.
I’ve been in love with Big Ditch - Hayburner lately
Hayburner is probably my favorite beer ever. It is so fucking good.
Still a Hobgoblin man myself…
Did an all-you-can-drink Easter brunch at Karl Strauss brewery today. Put a hurting on some Windansea Wheat, Mosaic Session Ale, and Blackball Belgian IPA. All excellent choices and that Blackball goes down way too easy for an 8.5% ABV lol. Not bad for a family-oriented event and they have a great setup too!
I had a hayburner at century grill a while back and thought it was awful. Didn’t even finish it. That is super out of the ordinary for me.
had a 4 pack of founders double trouble yesterday, their double ipa. Founders has never steered me wrong before, and this one was exceptional. Probably one of the best double IPAs I’ve ever had.
My favorite right now is Southern Tier Unearthly.
Had some friends in from VT and they brought me some cans of Heady Topper, they swear by it i should report back by tonight. Its is a double IPA with 8% alc.
Really?! I could see someone not liking it I guess, but not a sink-pour.
