False. ABW and VBM both have plenty of sours available, all the time. If you don’t want to buy the whole pack ABW sells individual bottles.

Friend comes into town and brings a few goodies

Good stuff. I have a bottle of 2014 KBS I picked up last week and also had some 2015 on draft locally.

^ That’s a good friend.

Had a bunch of people over for a beer and wine tasting party a couple weeks ago. It went over so well we’re doing another, just beer this time because of some hangover issues the next day, Oct 3rd.

The BA narwhal is one my favorites that is easy to find stock when its released. So delicious, i have a few aging.

We have Helldorado on tap in town and I am sure glad I didn’t buy a bottle of it, I wouldn’t drink it again if someone gave me a bottle. Wasn’t a fan at all of it, and I love bourbon and bourbon barrel beers.

BSP, agreed. Helldorado is my least favorite out of their vintage series. Was a mess. Heres what I cracked on labor day. My favorites were Drie Fonteinen Framboos, GI Proprietors, Double Barrel Jesus, Cantillion, Russian River, and the Bruery were excellent. Stone Thunderstuck was a great IPA. Mikkeller Vanilla shake was good. Prairie Pirate Noir fell short of what I was expecting and was a disappointment. Was a pretty good line up.

ok, so I like beer but not nearly as much as most in this thread… clearly.

I was at a place in Buffalo and I had the worst beer ever. I believe it was a Hamburg brewery or had the Hamburg name on it? Does that sound right. It tasted like cold garbage. I had no more than 2 sips before giving up.

That would be Hamburg Small Town…I’m assuming. I had the same experience.

It was at that phenomenal new burger joint on Allen… but I forgot the name.

I’ll guess it was the same. I’ve never had such a terrible beer… and at first I was pretty stoked on the whole Hamburg thing. Should have tried it first.

If it was Small Town, it’s a Saison, which just have a weird taste in general. I had the Resurgence Saison…it was no bueno.

hamburg brewing is not good, but they are always packed and just purchased a bottling line (which isn’t cheap) so they must be doing ok right…

The family owns Pine Hill, Russo Construction, and is a share holder in numerous property development organizations. They have very little concern on spending money at the brewery.

World of Beer is now open at the Galleria. My GF works there, solid selection of beers (50 on tap, ±500 different beers in bottle). They also have a retail license so you can buy you’re own 6 packs etc… (it can get very expensive to buy 6 packs there, though) Food is great too. If you like beer you’re gonna get yourself in trouble going to this place. Do it.

I honestly think people just go there to see how the other half lives??? The beer there SUCKS. The light beer has an aftertaste like they mixed in bad dish water or something. Bleh.

Went there with @Geehee overall I was pretty impressed. Each beer is served in the appropriate glass, so they’re not just dumping everything in a pint glass. Excellent selection (obviously), wife and I split the huge German pretzel and it was pretty good. I didn’t have any actual food. It’s also on the opposite side as the rest of the food stuff and not actually “in the mall”, which was a huge plus. I would definitely recommend it.

Hmmm. I need to check this place out.

Im drinking a mini growler of Saranac’s Pumpkin right now, football season means it’s okay to drink fall beer.

I think youre talking about the BPA. the only beer I had there that I liked was the oatmeal stout. which is hard to mess up.

you cant forget Sorrento cheese!

my parents used to own a restaurant in the village of Hamburg and they would come in often. they also owned the house that that 26 year old “bought” then defaulted on the loan and then was raided by the FCC or whatever

the brewery used to be a storage building for cars

it just pisses me off that places that make good beer in buffalo (CBW) has to start from kickstarter, and slowly grow while these people just make a mediocre product and throw money at everything. capitalism I guess.

I’m so happy I initiated this little hate fest.

I actually like Hamburg because it’s down the road (1/4 mile) from the gfs parents and then 365 is super strong. Gives us a reason to “visit”.
