Zubruis 2 goals in the first period
two nice goals… he seems like a streaky player though

lol, I’m kind of happy novotny is gone lol
tsn is reporting that ryan smithe went to the islanders.
Im curious how biron will play in philly bc their goalies have done pretty badly so far this year. They have a game tonight but idk if hes even gonna play…
One thing to keep in mind… we may not have Zubrus past the playoff run. The reason Washington was shopping him was they couldn’t come to a long term deal. He was looking for 17 million for 5 years. 3.4 million a year.
wow.Im very happy with the moves the sabres made.this is the most trading from them in a while that i can remember
wow
"Unable to reach a long-term deal with their heart-and-soul player, the Edmonton Oilers instead traded Ryan Smyth to the New York Islanders for prospects Ryan O’Marra and Robert Nilsson and the Islanders’ first-round pick in 2007. "
to the islanders, didn’t see that coming
isles are beefing up for a playoff run
how long can they stand on crapietros shoulers…
here is one last trade via WGR55

Buffalo, NY (WGR 550) - The Buffalo Sabres have acquired defenseman Mikko Lehtonen from the Nashville Predators for a fourth round pick.

For all of those goals, Zubrus seemed to just happen to be at the right place at the right time, and have the puck come to him…
Not to say that’s bad…he’s very good at reading plays it seems…but he hasn’t really made any plays. Good accurate quick shots…but nothing of the likes of Maxim for example…who can both get off great shots, and work his ass off to make the play that allows for good shots to be taken…
Aside from this compilation of Zubrus highlights, i dont know much about the player…so i’m not one to talk…but this is what i get from the goals in this video…
Its sucks losing marty alot he was a big, big part of the team and i never wanted to see him go but he will flourish as he leaves the sabres, he always wanted to get out there and play more and he always showed up and played a good game when miller was down.Farewell marty . for zubris , hes what we needed , a veteran with experience and skill, altho hes not the biggest play maker, with the right laser like passes from the likes of maxim or drury he will be deadly.
 to having 6 guys above 20 goals!
soo is there any way any of are new guys will play tonight??im hoping zubrus ,we’ve got too many injuries , but then again so do j’espos shitty leafs.
i’m gonna go out on a limb and say zubrus won’t be playing tonite, but he’ll be in the lineup against montreal
