ding. i agree that he is not performing to his potential and can def play much better, but he is finding open space and creating oppurtunities. this is why his stats show him as one of the leaders in +/- IN THE WHOLE NHL. look it up
Yeah, he still reminds me of Satan though…I dont know if thats as fast as his legs go, or if he just not skating as hard as he should be at times
i was just talking about this last night with lafengas, that even though i liked satan, he always seemd like he was gliding into plays…waiting for the puck to come to him.
Satan wishes he were more like Vanek. Vanek liked to be lazy last year, hence why he was benched for most of the playoffs. But this year, even when he is not skating as hard as he could, it’s almost like he is hungry to score, or even just setup a goal. Satan never had that hunger. He was just a cocky hockey player making a nice salary with a little above average talent.
I just wish he was as hungry as Peters, that guy is starving.
sry i did mean to say… the didn’t perform well last night… its early for me…
last night he was forcing alot… and didn’t really seem like his passes were crisp and clean… i think he still can play better, he’s missing something somewhere
it is worthless
theoretically, it allows a team who could technically finish LOWER than 8th in the conference and STILL get home ice advantage in the playoffs aside from making them in general
its like how the southeast division was, where every team was horrendous and got trounced in the first round
obviously its not worthless b/c it does give meaning to divisions, but its stupid that they get a free ticket to home ice
it should go back to how it was, 4 divisions with playoff berths stemming from those divisions alone 
but that was also when there was only 21 teams and much more civil…

whoever bashed vanek is a moron, you don’t get to be the league leader in +/- by being a lazy floater, vanek is out there skating hard on both ends of the ice and creating plays. and the only reason peters is hungry is because he lost 20 pounds in the offseason.
I wouldn’t go as far as moron, but yeah, lazy players don’t lead the NHL in +/-.
