Carolina as a team is really fast AND everyone hits, which = a major problem for the Sabres.
Even after 3 losses… I’m defiantely not worried. We showed (even though it was to little to late) that we can do pretty damn well if we wanted to… 3 goals in 1 period, multiple posts for Vanek… lots of pressure the rest of the 3rd period.
I can’t wait for the next game! Tomorrow’s game versus Ottawa should be a greeat one.
i agree with that first statement, but not so much with the 2nd. gerber is not a bad goalie. no, he’s not a superstar, but he’s def good enough to take a team to the finals. an on this team, the goalie doesn’t need to be the “center of attention”
yea gerber is a pretty good goalie. he’s part of the reason why they’re doing so good this year.
meh, i personally dont think hes that good…i thought he looked quite poor at parts during the buffalo game and was just lucky…
granted you have to have some talent to win 33 games and have a sub 3.00 GAA…but thats just IMHO…i do NOT think he has what it takes to lead a team to the cup and i think he’ll wilt under the pressure like he did in the 3rd period…
I’m just happy that we finally put a respectable number of shots on goal. The Ottawa and Atlanta games were rediculous.
Arena was loud after the third goal and the big hit!! Loudest its been all year. We took it to them in the third!!
Agreed… that third period was our best hockey this year IMHO.

we fell asleep in the 2nd and they scored 4 goals…one of the four was a “good” goal, the other three we turned it over in either our own zone or in our own crease (fucking tallinder) and gave it to them…i guess they “got lucky” then…

all comes down to a previous post of mine…they played better in 20 minutes than we did the other 40
