this slump puts worry in me that we really can’t beat the top two in the division…
i hope im wrong…i know we’re better than every other team in the division…but we can’t beat ottawa or carolina…sigh…
you’re really thinking a little too optimistically about our team. if we are better than the other teams in our division, a 1-5 record against ottawa certainly shows it. and im not even going to mention the goals for/goals against stat against them.
down 0-1, but I think we look pretty good tonight. Looks like we came to play.

It was a wild game/crowd. I love Buffalo-Canadian games. 
I hear we lost at the last 2 minutes… man that sucks. Didn’t get to see it… I was at the frickin’ awesome Bandits game. I still love you Sabres!! lol
Sabres are on a REAL sweet roll now :lol: but i guess they are still better than my Leafs.
I <3 the sabres but once the playoffs roll around i woulden’t mind if another team was nice enough to take out ottowa for us.
i said we can’t beat the top two but we beat everyone else…ive been saying ottawa is the better than us all year, and ive preached much the same about carolina
shrug. its a 3 team conference where 5 other teams will get to the playoffs…but there is bound to be one solid upset…

But hey, Ottawa lost, Carolina lost, Even Detroit lost. At least they lost the same time we did. Doesn’t put them any more aahead of us.
you know what though, i really think that those numbers don’t reflect how well we have played against them. We didn’t play horrible against carolina and ottawa at home these last two games. I think that both games were a crap shoot in that neither team in that game was truely dominating. I thought they were both good games with disappointing endings. The Sabres could’ve won both, but the bounces weren’t going their way.

I really thought this was gonna turn out OK. the rest of the regular season isn’t gonna get any easier.
you must have been watching a different game than i saw. they played like ass in both those games. forwards not backchecking, when they do they dont move their feet and just glide. not tying up their man’s stick. piss poor dump-ins on forechecks. they’re played like shit the past 10 games i think, it was just they were playing shitty teams during that winning streak so they still came out with wins. tonight was mildly better, but still making stupid mistakes and not playing sound defensive hockey.
the way we’re playing now at the end of the season, is like the complete opposite of how we’ve played the last couple years after the all-star break. the past couple seasons, we’ve played so well after the break, this year is obviously different.
on another note, stanley cup winning teams seem to always have some kind of huge slump like we’re having or something else to affect their season. thinking that, im not too worried about the slump we’re having. i no we’ll pull through it and turn it around.
