What most people who diet are doing isn’t something that has ever been important to people over those same thousands of years though. Do you think people were “cutting” and “bulking” trying to modify their fat/muscle ratios? No, they were eating to live, preferably trying to be fat to have some stores or show that they were wealthy. Not exactly the same as what is going on today.
Having more science to understand how your body uses fuel isn’t a bad thing. There is quite a bit of difference between eating a diet for nutritional reasons and doing some of the weird shit like eating only yellow foods.
I do find it mildly amusing that you criticize diets because “there is money to be made” yet eating only organic foods is arguably just as big of a money making scam.
Should you fill your body with fake foods? No. Is switching your healthy non-organic diet to the same healthy organic diet going to change your health outlook? No… the placebo affect will probably be great for a bit though.
Actually free range grass fed meat is far more nutritious than grain fed feedlot meat. I’m not talking in a hippie touchy feely way, I mean in a scientifically studied and quantified way. Levels of Vitamin E, Vitamin C, Omega 3’s are all much higher in natural meat than in grain fed caged meat.
i fucking love tim hortons sausage egg and cheese breakfast sandwiches on plain bagels. I hate my life every morning i see other people eating and enjoying them and i cant eat one
I just ate 2 over easy “free range vegetarian fed” eggs, with a little bit of cheddar cheese, a piece of 100% whole wheat toast with a tiny bit of fake butter stuff, and a side of applesauce. And a little packet of instant oatmeal.
Good thing it’s 3pm and that was my breakfast. Sucks that I’m still hungry.
Of course it’s an over generalization, there’s enough information on this subject to write texts books about, and that’s been done. So while I am not on here to write a text book about it hopefully the information I posted will inspire someone to seek out the knowledge and research for themselves thus learning something.
My rendition
-Skinless boneless chicken breast cooked in italian dressing then drained.
-Sauteed one onion, 3 mushrooms, some celery, carrots, broccoli, and one green pepper.
-Rice.
then I added a can of drained black beans and a can of tomato and green chiles to the chicken and cooked it for a bit
mixed it all together.
The plan is to put in on a whole wheat tortilla x2 for dinner.
It tastes alright, missing something though. I think the carrots were a bad decision, I had doubts from the start.
Im on a no carb diet, take multi vit. everyday, fish oil thats about it. looking to drop about 15lbs. im 206 and 6’ 2" not fat but do have a little beer belly and tits. should be gone soon.
I was thinking about trying out the fish oil. I heard it’s good for your joints and with all the running I do my ankles bother me sometimes. Do you know offhand what the fishoil caps do exactly?
I am always starving when I wake up, no matter what.
Even if I eat a big dinner, I have to eat within an hour of waking up.
I hit a platue recently in losing weight, well like a month ago. I stayed right around 250. Started eating small portions of whatever the hell I wanted, and managed to lose like 2 lbs in the process. Not sure how.
Im about to spend the next 3 months eating how I ate when I lost the 110lbs monday - thursday
then friday - sunday, eating whatever the hell I want.
Irony, since the lifestyle change in eating, the whatever the hell I want tends to be wings or a turkey sub. Giving up fast food entirely was the best thing I ever did.
Problem now is, none of my clothes fit. Ive added like 10 holes in my belt and cut it down like a foot haha.
