Official NHL Offseason Thread

Havlat and Smolinski went to Chicago, who totally owned that deal out of the 3 teams. Maybe they’ll suck less

yeah Ottawa is losing alot of good players

so far…

Chara
Havlat
Smolinski

Thats great news.

i actually think ottawa made out like bandits. they picked up some very solid young players. the hawks got an injury prone havlat, and his 6m/year contract. good move by ottawa, they’ll be better for it.

you guys know what this is…

I love the first game.

ARE YOU FUCKING SERIOUS, WE HAVE TO OPEN IN FUCKING CAROLINA?

this is like the year they wanted us to open in dallas while they raised the banner…fucking BULLSHIT…

im getting a hard on from some of these western conference teams coming here that we never see.

calgary, colorado, vancouver, and minnesota

we get the whole northwestern division here next season…sweeeeeeet…

btw sabres vs blue in st louis december 23rd
no games vs san jose this year :frowning:

  I LOVE IT.

Sabres trade rights of Pyatt to Canucks in exchange for a fourth-round selection in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.

and also, some huge rumors are going around that Biron may be traded to Florida for Jay Bouwmeester. Afinogenov may be traded with Biron, or perhaps someone else too. this would be a huge pickup for us. Bouwmeester is only 22 years old, he’s 6’4" and 222lbs. he’d be a big time Defenseman for us. his point production has gone up every year. had 46 pts last year. hope this goes through

paetsch, roy, and BIRON accept qualifying offers

Good, im sorta glad about biron, he is a great goalie and he was pretty clutch lats season.

Biron is still going to get traded…Regeir isn’t going to have a $2 million dollar backup goalie…i’d like to see him stay because of his long tenure and funny locker room personality.

Its sad cause i still dont trust miller, he makes great saves alot but he also lets some easy ones in a little more than he should.

Leafs Sign Peca!!! GO LEAFS GO. i cant wait to watch Mikey tear up his old team the Sabres this year

lol, at least its better than their defensive signings :stuck_out_tongue:

he’ll certainly fill the void of lindros leaving…but IMO he won’t account for much unless t-dot gets some better wingers…

eh, i dunno. i think they have done pretty good this offseason. im thinking they are going to be a much improved team from last year.

Maybe we will beat them every game this year…last year we just felt bad for them so we had to let them win one
