Official: SR vs. KA vs. CA vs. RB vs. VQ vs. LSx

well his car and my car were just as fast and i had VSPL, full exhuast, stage 3 clutch and 11.5 psi among a few other things.

251 is high for that set up, but his car was faster than most with those mods.

i beleive it.

and varun, its not copying, its called reverse-engineering. taking an existing product, making it better and making is domestically.

Wait till I come out with my 300RWHP+ SR beast next spring :noes:

Oh and I plan to go with BikiRom as my ECU. Doesn’t hurt to try and
learn to tune my own maps and shit. :dunno:

KA-T > SR

So after putting on about 1000kms in about 3 weeks, I have one
conclusion: The factory SR is not enough.

Other then that, the car is slow to launch but once you’re in 2nd or 3rd
gear it’s a blast to drive.

Highway crusing is even better beause of the available torque at top end.

I miss the low end of the KA but the SR makes up for it in every other way.

Plus it sounds cool:

Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Psshhhhhhhh! :hsugh:

the factory SR is wood

You got a 3’’ Extension + 3’’ Downpipe ?

Only mod I’m aware of would be the FMIC…

What RPM are you seeing full boost at ?

Ya, even at stock boost my tires can not keep traction in 1st,
it gets up and goes

No major engine mods. It’s all the same bells and whistles most SR
owners have. Stock extension with Megan flex-down pipe.

Full boost? I dunno somewhere in the 3000rpm range? :dunno:

Either ways, I’m lookin forward to some upgrades over the winter.

The SR is fun, but not fun enough…I guess.

Yea I dont really know what their like driving complete stock… Anything I did to mine was done prior to me even dropping the SR into the chassis so I didnt know what to expect.

Coming from Motocross the SR does have a very friggin weak bottom end but its not a huge issue that a tiny bit of clutch cannot cure.

I can see 7psi by 2700 rpm and 11psi by 3000rpm

With good Proxes in the Rear it will not lite up in 1st unless you give her some clutch… With bald proxes or crappy motormaster then it’ll lite up in 1st gear easily.

I really enjoy the car @ 11psi… its a blast to drive. Im very curious what it’ll be like tuned proper @ 14psi.

Car is fast enough for me as I dont have the HP bug many others appear to have :stuck_out_tongue:

When I had my vac lines all wrong (basically fulltime closed wastegate)
I was hitting 11psi+ easily and the car felt very alive.

When I finally corrected my vacuum lines (thus having an 8psi limit), the
car felt a little…weak. :dunno:

Goin N/A for the summer

I’m currently in the process of buying parts for an N/A setup in my '95. This is what I’ve got so far:
-AEM short ram, hyperground, hypervoltage, act clutch, fidanza flywheel

This is what’s on the to get list:
-hotshot header, msd ignition, tomei fuel pump, 300zx filter, jwt cams and cam sprockets, port and polish head, ferrea valves, koyo rad, 370cc injectors, don’t know who to go to get ecu reprogrammed, lightweight driveshaft, z23 maf, apexi dual n1, megan test pipe to name a few. . .

I’ll keep u guys posted on the results.
Oh yeah, i’m also redoing the entire body of the car with a kouki conversion. . .

apex drifter: I think you’re wasting your time and money going N/A.

You sound too ambitious and a little naieve if I might add.

Perhaps you can introduce yourself in the New users section and prove
me wrong. :dunno:

Yea… unless you go high comp, you’re gonna see barely any gains from staying N/A.

i sent jimwolftechnology.com an email about built na ka’s. they recommended it would be a lot better and cheaper to go with forced induction (turbo) as opposed to natural aspiration. i posted it in a discussion about this somewhere around here, but i can’t find the thread.

Hey man, hes from yellowknife!!

N/A with THAT cold air would be close to 215 hp. drip

slap an sr t25 and bov on a healthy ca18 and itll keep up fine with an sr (redtop that is) lol bing is rly a ca hater, once i do a few more things ill have to take him 4 a ride

Avery is selling a CA motorset for 1600 and bing is selling a GT2871R for 1400. For 3G’s plus a lil change for some other upgrades, you can FLY if you go CA.

+injectors +Fuel mang +FMIC +Boost Controler +Wastgate +DP and exhaust…

ya just a little change

bing is a ca hater cuz jesse’s ca was broken, its not bings fault he’s just ignorant!!! hahaha

^^^benson gt2871r comes with internal wastegate

thx bingo for the pixzor
