Where would you guys want to ride?

@OH_Healp_its_Beast @King

And looks like I’ll have to keep an eye on my waterbox…

Don’t matter to me. I launch in the falls off of buffalo ave. what bout u?

I’m near the south tip of Grand Island with @King

I know @OH_Healp_its_Beast is closer to Hamburg.

Who else on here has one?

I can trailer mine to wherever. I tried to go out today but it was real choppy. Flew off a few times and called it a day.

We’re gonna have a huge turn out lol

josh what you thinking for tomorrow?

Went and got my ski to realize registration expired last fall. Damn!!

Sounds like you need to hold on harder, lol. I just bought gloves… my hands are all blistered from the wave riding Wednesday.

No idea yet, but you’ll want to get that renewed. There are a LOT of coast guard boats on the river. They even pulled up to @King and I because they couldn’t read his reg # on the side of his ski since it’s on a funny, flat spot.

We took mine out yesterday. Launched on the creek just East of NFB. Had a nice little cruise down to NT, stopped for food and drink. Got back on. No start. Going way too rich on a warm/hot start. Yeah, it’s still tied up there, on the North wall, at the base of the brick steps.

Picking it up tomorrow. Yay.

Edit: if you guys have an extra kill key, feel free to try to start it. Ride it, just don’t shut it off. Please leave it near a ramp. Kthx.

Community ski? If you need a hand with it let me know.

I feel your pain. All that slow speed in that area really killed a set of plugs I had in there.

That said, we were on our way from Grand Island to Woodlawn today and mine started bogging then died. Fiddling with the tether / stop switch got me going again but only in spurts, so we abandoned that trip and stayed around Strawberry island.

I was almost full speed when it cut once and nearly went over the handle bars, lol. I just don’t understand because it ran so well last Wednesday. I’ll try replacing the stop switch. At least it would get going again and I wasn’t stranded.

I never made it out. Figured I’ll just stop by the DMV this week and just get the sticker so I have it sooner than later.
You ever go out during the week?

Sounds like great fun :-/

Actually, yeah, I’m heading up there this afternoon to grab it. Was going to have Smith Boys tow it over to their ramp, but if you’re available, a friendly tow would be damn helpful.

I’ll call/text in a bit.

If you need a tow we can toss it in the back of my truck anytime after 4:30, no biggie.

Actually, I’ve got the car/trailer situation handled. It’s just getting it from where it is to a ramp that’s a bit of a challenge. Worse comes to worst, I can paddle it around the corner, I suppose.

I could help you out towing it to a ramp later tonight with my boat. It would have to be after 6 though since I need my wife’s SUV to get the boat to the river. I’ll tow snowmobiles with the GTO but 3000lbs of boat is pushing it.

Yeah mostly actually, at least I do.

Mine is too small to tow unfortunately. Think standup jetski with a seat. And with my intermittent running issue we might end up with two logs just floating down the river, lol.

I suggested this ramp, but it’s real steep: Google Maps

Thanks Jay. Much appreciated. Still, a bunch of work to go after a ski. After weighing things out, I’ll likely stop by Weaver, pick up a set of fresh plugs, pull coils/plugs, spin it over to clear cylinders, and throw a set in. I’m sure it will start and run well enough to get it a mile upriver to the first public ramp.

I’d hate to kill my allroad clutch on the Smith Boys ramp

Well if you can’t get it started it’s not a huge deal to swing over to Niawanda and drop my boat in the water. Wouldn’t take that long to tow it to Gratwick’s launch.

Weaver for plugs? There is an Autozone only a short walk away from where you have it tied up now… ask me how I know that too, lol.

It’s a real specific plug. But got them already. No stock at zone, but yes at Advance.
