What kind of job is it?

title company

Hi,

My name is Jeremy (last name) and I was told that if I wanted to apply for a postion at First Merit Title that I would have to submit a resume via email. My resume is attached to this email. I can be contacted at the phone numbers listed. Thank You for taking the time to read my email and / or view my resume.

                                                                         Jeremy (last name)

doing what for them? sales, closings, inside work?

i am a closing corrdinator at my current job. I do title clearance, prepare hud settlement statements, and prepare documents for closings. So in short i do everything from start of file to close on refinances. atleast in the title aspect of it. i let my lender do all the other paperwork(mortgages, subordinations, escrows , etc. )

No, that’s not a good letter…

"To Whom It May Concern:

My name is Jeremy (last name here). I am interested in the job for ______. Please see my resume, attached. I am interested in this position because I believe it will enhance my skills as a business professional (or whatever you want to put…).

Thank you for your consideration.

Sincerely,

Jeremy (last name here)"

k but you dont apply for a position. they put you where they want / need you

oh… they didn’t place an ad for a job or anything?

nope word of mouth. i called and they are hiring. was told to send resume to email adress. wasnt given any type of job category or anything. i am able to perform all jobs there though

what you sohuld do is present them with a cover letter and your resume… in the cover you should put that you are looking to expand your career with a new company and that <insert comp name> is at the top of your list… then give a sentence about your current job (only if it applies to prior-knowledge of the new position) and then a sentence about you being a hard worker… then closing.

i should have a cover if you want one… it’ll not all apply, mine are usually more directed to the company i’m sending it to

Alright - Have you ever put together a cover letter for your resume? I think thats what you need to do as your email message. This is the structure I used when applying on line - I got alot of call backs its like looking under the hood before you a car. The more info you have in the cover letter the more they will want to look “under the hood”

Set it up something like this –

This is in response to your advertisement for a (whatever job). I graduated from (What college) in (Month/Year) with a Bachelor of (whatever it was). I have over (years) experience within the industry and over (years)professional experience as a (whatever you do now). (The following was my line of shit to get them hooked. List some of your strengths and what you know)In addition to strong presentation skills in front of local Environmental Boards, I have strong technical skills and proficiency in various versions of AutoCad including 2000i and 2004, SurvCadd XML, Land Development 2000, Photoshop 7, Benchmark and Microsoft Office software.

I would like the opportunity to tell you more about my work experience and how my unique designs and people skills could contribute to the successful day-to-day working environment of your company. References will be provided at your request.

Sincerely,

Your name

Ok just saw you called and they have openings…The first line then put - In a recent discussion with your human resource manager(or whoever you had talked to), I was informed that you have a position open. I am fowarding my resume for your review. Then follow up with the rest of the mess ^
