no there is a whole plot to the movie, something about zombie type things and it being very contagious, them being stuck in a boat with no fuel, not able to touch the water…i dont really know the whole story, it was the last day of filming
you should have seen the people going by in boats though, thinking people were bleeding from sunburn lol
and yes, that was the highlight of the day for most
Yeah, I figured they wouldn’t have a plot hole THAT big. I was just joking.
Though for zombie outbreak avoidance I think I’d find a body of water wider than the canal. 
i think in the movie they are trying to make it to the lake, i could be wrong though…who knows
