Well shit happens and i guess one of my rear license plate flew off on the thurway somewhere. It happened on Friday Night on my way home from work…
I go to the police station to ask for some kind of help with this…because the DMW was close and this is the only car i drive.
I go to the window and said “I lost one of my plate is there anyways i can get something to report it lost/missing? The DMV is close and i just dont want a ticket for a missing plate”
Mind you i have really bad luck with the missing front license plates…lol
So i learned my lesson and wanted something i can hand to a police officer when they pull me over for no front license plate.
Officer: "Are the license plate missing or stolen?
Me: “It fell off somehow on the thurway, Sir.”
Officer: “You have to be missing 2 plates for me to write you something” Mind you this happened to me before and the other officer gave me a missing plate slip without a problem.
Me: “I was here before when this last happened to my g/f car and the other officer gave me a missing plate slip”
Officer: [gives me a attitude] “Im not the other officer am I? I cant do anything for you”
After that comment i left without saying a word…I didnt want to end up in the slammer…
Do i have to be missing both plate for me to file this report?
I just want to know so i know before i go ask the cocky fucks agian about anything.
i’ll hit up the dmv tomorrow to get this shit solved.
It happens to me alot and i dont notice i have a missing plate until it to late to track down where it could be.
That’s shitty, he 100% did not want to do his job. I had that happen and I needed something from the police station saying I was missing a plate for DMV to even issue new ones.
i had my front one get lost in a snow bank and didnt know, got pulled over got a 90$ ticket i went right to the police station and got the form then got pulled over 4 more times that week with no tickets then went to dmv and prob solved
