Smoking in public buildings, bars, restaurants etc, should be illegal everywhere just like it is in NY. The people that work there shouldn’t be forced to breath in your smoke. And don’t give me that, “They should work somewhere else” bullshit either. There is long estabilished case law about unsafe working conditions that proves people don’t have to find another job.
The recent push is banning smoking outdoors in public places. That shouldn’t be illegal, but smokers do so little as a group to give themselves a better image. You obviously know most of us don’t want to breath in your smoke, yet you gather in a huge group right outside the door, and create a smoke cloud everyone has to walk through. You drop your cigarette butts where ever you feel, and toss them out your car window. Then you wonder why non-smokers vote for laws limiting where you can smoke?
