Optima Battery - ?

Hello All,

I was reading ModifiedMag and saw somewhere that someone upgraded to an Optima Battery. I tried doing a google search, but couldn’t really find anything.

Does anyone know much about these Optima Batteries and what benefits they have over the general Car Batteries that are included with your car when you get them?

…Thanks

Optima’s are great… completely sealed and can be mounted in any position… Yellow tops are the most expensive, Red tops are good for general usage… available at Walmart…

i think they go for about 150?

yep they are worth the money my friend bought optima red top battery and then went to a car show and blasted his sound system from 9 am do 7 pm and car started on first crank I don’t think regular battery would but then again I drive an altima so what do I know lol

yeh good batterys.

“it will outlast your S14”

lol.

i got one in my car.

^^ bullshit. only stickers do that.

I used to have T1R lightweight racing battery. 13lbs FTW with 18aH! Optima’s are too heavy for me.

that’s because you’re a mAd TytE JdM hArDParKeR

lol new sign, but seriously do u really need the battery is urs on its last legs or u just want to throw some money at it and see what happens

i got my yellow top from wal-mart…if the one u need is not on the shelf then they can have it in by the next day…good battery i think, worth the money

hmm i remember spending more than that

Yellow top is better, i dont remember why cuz i researched it a while back and now im too sleepy to remember

its not all good things ive heard about these batteries. i have heard they arent worth the money. What about COLD crankings amps?

i would rather pick up a Motomaster Eliminator Spiral Cell, and they install it haha

i just wanted an opinion for future purchase, if my battery were to ever fail. whats wrong with that?

so Assass1n calls me and asks me how much red-tops are in my area…

^huh?

lol i can actually believe fitzy when he says that hahaha

I love my red top, drove my car all through the winter with it last year :frowning: hated the salt tho… but I NEVER had a problem starting it even on those crazy cold nights when everyone elses cells froze lol. definetly worth the $$

hhmmmmm. lets see why would i ask him how much it is when i know people selling yellow tops for 150. brand new red top at walmart is 175 and yellow top is around 200.
