tire shine

yep thats next  Hey i met this guy at sheetz tonight who needs a camaro body/shell/rolling chassis. I told him to call you guys. you may get a call sometime just to let you know

dont look to bad

Thanks!

Lookin good. Those wheels don’t look good on many cars but on yours they do.

i think they are one of the better looking factory style rims available for fbodys if only it had a slight dish instead of flat faced

i really wish i could upgrade to deep dish y2k’s if they had them in 19/18

YES to the red Grandsport stripes, by the way. Just saw the thread on TGO.

nope, doesn’t cut it for me, i no longer envy your car

lol thats fine

I think upsized IROC repro’s would’ve looked best on that car but the Vette wheels still make it like “unfuckablewith.”

Sorry I had to jack that word.

i wouldnt mind a irocz wheel thats 18x10 rear and 18x8.5 or so front, but they dont make the double line style like i had. Plus they would be heavier than hell. these rims althought much bigger arent any heavier than my previous irocz wheels/tires

infact the rears with tires are 58lbs and fronts are 50lbs or so. My old irocz wheels where 52lbs i think with tires and thats a much smaller tire and rim

went to hybrid to tune the car today. Dennis helped me out and it turned out well. really helped get this car dialed in although the numbers are abit lower than expected…naturally

Car basically had no midrange torque since it was sooo damn lean but my topend was not too far off.

after ALOT of fuel added to the 3200-5000 range, i got peak torque up and flatter than before

I ran 11.67 at 116 with a very bad midrange curve and still ran 1.59 60 foot. Now i have loads more, like 20-30 wtq in the lower ranges

basically the car was running very hot and that may have hurt some but it did

392whp at 6250rpms
371 at 4000 rpms or so but its 360-370 from 3700-5000 rpms just about. pretty flat curve

BUT i broke something. idling, there is a metal popping like sound. crackling/popcorn popping sound from the rear lower motor…it actually may be the converter or something…i cant tell but i dont think its good

car drives and runs fine. I got on it 2 times and no problems but at idle there is SOMETHING wrong

Congrats on getting it tuned … Sorry to hear that something happened with the motor, I hope all goes well!

actually i am being told it probly is loose torque converter bolts. i pounded that converter today by forcing lockup at wot at full torque. i hope the bolts are loose and thats it

sounds logical but it never is that with cars. good luck

when you gonna look into it?

tomorrow after work i’ll take a quick look. If i get home early enough that is. I probly will have to stay late AGAIN but oh well

if i do get home on time i’ll take a look at it. If it is a loose bolt i’ll tighten them up, swap wheels as fast as i can and take it to the track if its still open. wont be getting there till probly 630-700 so i’ll miss first runs

G/L MPHBOY…hope its just a loose bolt or 2 as well for ya buddy…hope to see you tomorrow at the track

Those are some good numbers! Hope the crackling is nothing serious.

eh the numbers are so so… i am confident it will go up with the air intake upgrade. i expect 15-20 just from that since my MAF has to be flowing only 700 cfm and thats not enough
