Oh and I dunno if you remembered to tell anybody, but when we took the shifter off the torque tube, it wasn’t tight. Thread were backed out half-way etc. Definitely was not his fault about the third gear I don’t think. Whoever installed that should be shot!!
how did the friction surface look on the old clutch after about 70k?
it was almost like new, really wasn’t bad at all. I would estimate at least half life left. flywheel and PP were severly heat checked though. Definitely chattered. Good thing we put one in!!!

so yes to expand on that, the shifter wasnt even properly fastned to the torque tube. After we put in back in CORRECTLY the shifter is 10000000% better and i DEF notice the difference from before. New clutch is AWESOME and the properly installed shifter moves like a dream compared to before…sooooo paging pete, rematch?

the disc itself was awesome, but as wayne said pressure plate and flywheel showed wear. It was worth doing the clutch kit as expected.
I am not looking forward to this! Hazed the clutch again while hating on the car the other day…looks like I gotta baby it for now!
