So I got a violation at a pay2park location where i was doing some work. Normally I don’t pay there and the attendant is ok with it cause I’m there working for the bisons. There was no attendant and I didn’t see there is a machine there now which I have never noticed. Anyway I got a violation and was ready to pay it but when I tried my plate # wasnt showing up for any violations. I looked at the ticket and it appears that whoever wrote the violation got my plate wrong. Should I bother paying it or do you think they have more info other than my plate number?

Look at the ticket closely. If its a parking lot given violation, they have to state its not a city ticket usually at the bottom on the back. If it didn’t come with an orange envelope with the city address on it, you are probably fine.
Even if it is a city ticket and wrong, it will be dismissed.

Even if the cop writes something like your name wrong, 99% of the time, it still will hold up in court.
I got one dismissed cause he checked the pontiac box instead of the chevy box
Its definitely not a city ticket it is from pay2park. I called and said there was an envelope on my car with someone elses license number on it. They said it was probably someone putting the ticket on my car but its just 2 numbers transposed. Im going to hold on to the ticket and just not pay it.
If it’s not a city ticket, you’ll be fine. Just don’t park there again and not pay because they might keep records and you might get towed.
There was a legal fight a few years back because a local parking lot management company was issuing parking tickets that looked identical to the Buffalo city tickets, except the address to mail the fine was for the company’s office… Now the tickets have to distinguish themselves from Buffalo city tickets. There was a thread about it but I can’t find it.
If it has the wrong license plate, don’t worry about it. I had two of those in my life and the first time I went out of my way to try and pay it and they never found me in the system. The second I just never bothered. Both disappeared forever…
