I’m going to give that $50 paint job thing a go. The only problem is I can not figure out a paint scheme that I am happy with.
Orange and Black are a must. I do not want to end up looking like the Home Depot car so I want black the dominating color. If you want to get really fancy the cars number will remain 83 in any legable font. Also Hybrid Connection or HC on rear quarters and hood.

It is borderline right now. And I have to strip of the old sponsor and make room for Hybrid.
Heres a real quick version of the color scheme I would go for. I darkened the black and added the orange, I didn’t touch the decals and such for now. Also highlighted the 83 real quick. It at least gives an idea. Only about 8 min work.
yeah that is what I have in my head right now. The scheme I have been working with my leet MS paint skillz…
I think the orange is a little too much, possible change the numbers to silver to break it up a little.
I have two hoods available so if the oj for the hood is too much it is a quick change.
Really I am looking for something totally different. I was thinking car all black and Atari stipes down the hood. I just couldn’t get to look right. I am really big into 70’s two tone schemes.
I gave it another shot, keep feeding me more info on what you want and I can make it look better.
the idea you have would look good i think. i like the wheels with the color on the lip though, and the spokes all black.

Don’t have the Hood ONLY orange. It looks retarded. Gotta have some surrounding car space orange as well.
Black and orange is a really PITA scheme to do on a car
well what ever scheme I choose I better do it soon, the stripping has begun
it looks so naked! why not go similar to your SE-R? the dark black could perhaps go orange or out the dark black in orange to really make it stand out alot…
you could just paint it really shitty and have orange peel on black
