Pick car you would choose with this in mind...

My vote would b a 05 GTP…even though the newer styles GP’s feel cheap they do have more power then the generation before it.

The labor rate at cochran is the same for saab but the techs were put on a 40 hour guarantee because saab warrenty doesnt pay shit. From working at the saab/cadillac service department moving cars, stay away from 03 Saab 93’s.they have so many electrical problems.

i think the warranty labor rate increased for saab now and is the same. id have to go into ERA and look.

so saab is a no go then. Lexus IS300’s are slow, ive test driven a 2002 IS and it had nothing to it. Plus i think they are over 10K.

havent heard anything on the mitsu GTS, anyone have some thoughts on those, i thought that would get some votes.

m3 everything else on that list sucks

x2

wow thats pretty gay… plus i think he said its still leaking

is the m3 reliable, ive heard german cars to be iffy on reliability?

speed3

as much as I’m sick of grand prixs all the other shit sucks.

I would go with mazda6.

Stay away from an Audi, especially with turbo’s, unless you want to upgrade…ko3 is weak.

gtp would be nice…but aren’t they not so great on gas?

but overall…that list sucks.

camaro Z28 gets 28mpg on the highway.

oh yeah i know someone with one for sale. 11000 6spd way fast. t-rex cam. BUY IT

i’ve always liked the gtp, but i’m in love with the m3. such an all around dominant car… if you’ve got the money to spend. but out of all those cars the m3 stomps all as far as all around performance. nissans last forever. and saab and volvo??? i’ve never seen a saab or volvo that makes me wish i had one.

An update on the list:
The Audi A6 is being replaced by the Audi S4. So any votes on the A6 will be taken as for the S4.

Also, the car that will be bought will most likely be automatic for ease of daily driving and drag strip use.

automatic=gay as fuck

manuals are just as easy as an automatic unless you’re a dumbass. And a stick will be faster at the track unless you have a bigtime drag car with boatloads of HP. Plus, manuals get better gas mileage and are more fun to drive.

I see the M3 is high on the votes but heres my opinion

1.Nice car
2.Wouldnt be cheap to mod
3.wouldnt be cheap to fix
4.Not really that cheap to find one used. I still see these going for decent $$
5.If hes going to rwd y not a mid 90’s GT,Z28 etc?? Def be cheaper can be upgraded for fairly cheap. The aftermarket for those cars are enourmous also.

Some of those cars on the list are nice but if hes looking to have a nice dd and take it to the track i dont think a eclipse, tiburon, madza 6 will have him totally satisfied. It might at first but then he will realize what he could’ve had for the same (atleast at the track) amount of money but had more performance. In the end its up to him and for his sake i hope he makes the right choice:bigthumb:

I told him if he likes to tq to get an 8 but for some reason hes dead set against an 8. he really wants a 6 cylinder. and for around $10k theres not a whole lotta great choices and these are the best i could come up with in that criteria besides the ones he eliminated off my list like:

lexus sc300
2005 v6 mustang
2001 mustang GT
1998 Camaro z28
1997 mazda mx-6

Out of those choices stock i would go

camaro
stang
lexus

camaro wouldve been my choice but like i said he wasnt into those.

Tell him to get a Volvo that’s turboed and pre-Ford.
