My vote would b a 05 GTP…even though the newer styles GP’s feel cheap they do have more power then the generation before it.
The labor rate at cochran is the same for saab but the techs were put on a 40 hour guarantee because saab warrenty doesnt pay shit. From working at the saab/cadillac service department moving cars, stay away from 03 Saab 93’s.they have so many electrical problems.
i’ve always liked the gtp, but i’m in love with the m3. such an all around dominant car… if you’ve got the money to spend. but out of all those cars the m3 stomps all as far as all around performance. nissans last forever. and saab and volvo??? i’ve never seen a saab or volvo that makes me wish i had one.
manuals are just as easy as an automatic unless you’re a dumbass. And a stick will be faster at the track unless you have a bigtime drag car with boatloads of HP. Plus, manuals get better gas mileage and are more fun to drive.
I see the M3 is high on the votes but heres my opinion
1.Nice car
2.Wouldnt be cheap to mod
3.wouldnt be cheap to fix
4.Not really that cheap to find one used. I still see these going for decent $$
5.If hes going to rwd y not a mid 90’s GT,Z28 etc?? Def be cheaper can be upgraded for fairly cheap. The aftermarket for those cars are enourmous also.
Some of those cars on the list are nice but if hes looking to have a nice dd and take it to the track i dont think a eclipse, tiburon, madza 6 will have him totally satisfied. It might at first but then he will realize what he could’ve had for the same (atleast at the track) amount of money but had more performance. In the end its up to him and for his sake i hope he makes the right choice:bigthumb:
I told him if he likes to tq to get an 8 but for some reason hes dead set against an 8. he really wants a 6 cylinder. and for around $10k theres not a whole lotta great choices and these are the best i could come up with in that criteria besides the ones he eliminated off my list like:
