Ok.
Ok.
Because me having a BMW has ANYTHING to do with this? Sounds like someone got their panties in a bunch because someone was trying to educate them. The OEM rotors would have been more capable whether you or your buddies think so or not. It’s pads that make the biggest difference. Due to your new rotors, you’ll just be eating through pads quicker. I don’t think anyone on this forum needs a BBK unless it’s a full race car. There’s no big deal, you’re just making it out to be one by attempting to justify your need for your drilled/slotted rotors by talking about your spirited driving or how they don’t warp like the OEM rotors and such. At least do some research on them, and don’t just follow the boy scouts over on your M forums. About the only real benefits of a slotted or drilled rotor is (this can also be a disadvantage) the increased pad wear because the pad surface is being ‘refreshed’ (cleaned) when the brakes are applied.
im sorry man , rotors do warp .thats why lug nut trq is important along with a proper functioning brake system . i dont wanna get into a huge argument on it just sayin heat warps things why and or how are rotors any differant ? i tottally agree that drilled/slotted rotors are a waste on the street etc etc
