theres a difference, drop in hid’s still don’t belong in halogen projectors. i read this somewhere but don’t remember.

i can still tell weather they are drop in vs oem even if they are in projectors.

yeah, there is halogen projectors like most ebay jumpoff headlights you can buy and then there is HID OEM projectors.

Granted the halogen projectors have a better cutoff than a reflector housing but it still looks like shit and blinds people from certain angles (as opposed to reflectors which blind people regardless).

There are a few cobalts running around here I have seen with ebay “projector” headlights. They look almost as bad as the LED tail lights they have too which stick out a foot past their rear bumper.

I get a good laugh out of them when I see em though. :lol Nothing like buying a base model car and trying to pimp it out. In reality you’re just telling the world that you couldn’t afford a nice car, so you are taking the welfare approach and trying to make your otherwise a to b commuter car into something it’s not.

Happens all the time with v6 Mustangs. People cant afford the GT but yet they can afford to rice out their v6 like a 17 year old’s Civic.

= D2S projectors found in vehicles such as the acura TL, BMW’s, etc. = OEM HID projector beam = win.

=OEM reflector housing headlamps = nothing but a HALOGEN light bulb should be in there.

yea i think its really lame to put “drop in” hid’s in cars that don’t come with them. i like hid’s but only hid’s that are factory. i’d never put hid’s in my car.

Everyone I pass who has those fucking stupid HID’s in their reflector housing headlights gets the highbeams of my 50watt D2S projectors flashed in their faces.

I get flashed in my TSX a lot, then I just politely give them the hi-beams.
