if i had owned the car since new, i probably wouldnt have had this problem. but who knows how many times the other owner went WOT in 5th or 6th (big no no in these cars) but it is what it is. im not really even bothered that the one of the rings went. its not like it blew up. it just leaks compression into the crankcase and runs rough. but dont worry pete, no matter what way i go with a new bottom end, it will be all the best parts and make over 1000 whp. thats a promise. who knows maybe 1100 or 1200 with head work and cams. i have nothing but time and im not in a hurry.

Do Ford GT heads while it’s down!!! Make sure you do the Melling billet oil pump, high capacity oil pan, NEW OIL COOLER (by FAR the most important part of rebuilding a Modular). Feel free to hit me up if needed.

Thanks man, It was impulse buying tho … After being screwed over on a year long project involving my old gt42r Del sol I sold it and wanted a new project right away! I bought this 3000 which is cough fwd cough and its just not fun to drive… It’s 562hp to the wheels and just spins out in every gear. Trying to sell it now for a NEW project.
