Stage 3+ to replace the whipped, under-engineered shitbox clutch in my G6… flywheel is going out to Fidenza so they can construct a single mass replacement.

yay, frisbees!

NOT SPEC OH NOES

^ This

Spec is TERRIBLE

Might as well toss a grenade in your bell housing

I have 2 options: SPEC or SPEC

YIKES

I have used SPEC in the past without issues and will continue to do so. My other option is to use a STOCK Sachs clutch that won’t hold up to STOCK power. Keep in mind that I have been nursing the clutch since 40k miles due to how poor it is.

Out of the millions of clutches they sold.

I will agree, their quality control could be better. Hopefully it’s better since I got $400 off for sponsorship (making the Stage 3+ about the same price as a stock Sachs shitbox). This is literally the ONLY aftermarket replacement clutch available for this car.

ive seen 2 of them break. a stage 3 and 3+ on a VR6 turbo(12valve, 11psi on a t3/t4 60trim turbo)

good luck i say. if it works for you, awesome.

All you centerforce, clutch net nut swingers out there.

Are you all forgetting that the more you sell and people use the more will come apart. the thing those pictures dont show are: how was it aligned, was the pressure plate torqued properly, was the flywheel warped or some chineese knock off, was there fluid leaks and contaminations, etc.

Let me ask you this… if they make 1000 of clutch A, off the same assembly line with the same materials with the same CNC robots, how come only a few fail and the rest last as long as the friction pads are still on the disk?

But hey, everyone loves a bandwagon ride right?

I wish I could +rep you…

I will agree, I’ve read some horror stories… but they are STORIES for a reason.

I like stories. Uncle JD, tell me a story
