Cut or molded top? The cut tops leak.

Wat?

Vp has two different jugs. Cut top and molded tops. The cut tops are cheaper, the walls are thinner, and the top never seals right. The molded tops are much better but cost more.

I have no idea what I got. Never had a problem w/ any VP fuel jug I’ve used before though. Plus there’s gonna be a large funnel that should catch everything when pouring.

Nice jugs cossey. I’m sure your jugs leak.

I need to pick a couple of those up. They are awesome for boats and jetskis.

Lactating is perfectly normal.

needed some consumables, so I figured I would upgrade while I was at it.

Free shipping from street side on orders over 50. Those are cut tops and non dot approved.

I got two of this version:

No negative ratings, and nothing mentioning leaking and such.

DOT approval is no big deal really, as they’re for race use only. :shifty

Though, just in case, I will have them covered when they’re strapped to the trailer.

I have that exact torch and gas lense in liquid cooled format. Very good setup. Pyrex cup is very fragile, so buy a few spares NOW before you get halfway through a job and shatter one because you set the torch down a little too hard.

I’ve got another that the torch is about 1/2" long from the back of the torch head to the tip of the tungsten and has a little 1/4" diameter pyrex cup that I always fucking break. I have to grind and cut pieces of tungsten that are a hair over 3/8" long :lol

Bad link bud. As far as the price goes it’s the exact ones we’ve been talking about on the jetski forum lately. They’re decent cans for the price for sure but because of the thinner walls the lip doesn’t seal against the o-ring in some cases. Most people have gotten them to stop leaking in one way or another though. The more expensive ones are good to go right out of the box.

I’ll probably be ordering two of the cheap ones. :lol

And a flame on lol

isnt that like a car a week for the last few weeks?

pretty much… you jelly, pee jelly bee?

I heard they are tits for SS work and keeping them all pretty looking for teh interwebz picture taking. The normal gas lens and a #8 (largest aluma cup i could find at the time and never cared to change it from necessity) I out run my shielding gas so my trailing welds aren’t cooled bellow the oxidization temperature while still shielded. So i would have to go in 1/2 - 5/8 steps around a joint to keep it shielded long enough. I am hoping I can blow a 1" long bead and still stay shielded with this. Since I am usually out of position/run out of skill (lol) at 1" its time for me to re-position anyways.

PM coming. becasue its been atleast a month since I bugged you. LOL

Im coming over to practice.
