what are some of the benefits that powder coating has over jst spray painting calipers… cost aside. is it shinier? longer lasting? or more or less the same effect…
Powder coating lasts a lot longer, spray paint chips off and doesn’t last too long on calipers from my experience.
I would just use some of that caliper paint stuff, powder coating is more expensive but imo will give a much better finish and last longer.
hm well the paint i primered and put on 4 coats so taht should be good enough… im jst worried it wont maintain its shine… anyone here have it done and noticed fade etc?
well I hope you used high temp paint. Otherwise it will self destruct soon.
Anyways, it should be fine. It will be covered in brake dust after a while though and you’ll need to scrub it clean.

i was just contemplating if i shoudlve powdercoated instead… i dont want it to look dull and bland like those civics.
You will have to keep cleaning them, and a lot of those civics probably just bought a can of spray paint from ct and did it …
is there some sort of high temp clear coat or somethinu can put on? hehe
