Does anyone local rebuild Precision Turbo’s.
mine has alot of shaft play, it has 0 miles on it, only used for mockup.
also what is the going rate for a rebuild?

Assuming its a journal bearing and not cartridge, it’s actually normal for them to have shaft play WITHOUT oil pressure. How much play do you consider a lot. 0 miles should never equal rebuild.

i was thinkin the same thing about not any oil pressure. i’ll make a vid tonight and post it, or take it down to hybrid tomorrwo and see what they think.
or possibly just leave it and see if oil pressure centers it up.
those large shaft turbos esp have play untill oil. And they will take a beating like no other. (30-40psi) no problems
