That’s pretty much it man, plus make sure you undercoat it, and make sure you put a good set of winter tires on it because its tricky to drive in the winter, but once you get used to it you’re gonna have fun.
For those who have done the same… regarding Patio stones or anyhting similar… do you guys find a noticable difference in slippery conditions? BTW I drive an S14…
Or if you use a separate set of rims and rubber, shove your summers in there And if you just have one set of rims and alternate rubber, just put the rubber in there, should be good enough.
Ballast in the trunk is a double-edged sword. Yes, it helps with traction but it also adds to the rear end’s inertia when already in a slide, making it more difficult to bring back in line.
I have never put weight in the back of any cars I drove in the winter. I am pretty sure that it would have a negative effect on your rear shocks too as there would be an increased load.
