No the check engine light isn’t on. Yes its acting the same exact way.
-Start the truck up in the morning its cold and higher Idle than normal
-Drive down the parkway get to the garage while stopped it does a high / low idle fluxuation…

no the guy I’m talking to next to me is a certified mechanic. He is my buddy from the fire department and I work with him.
definitely sounds like a vacuum leak to me also. My old Cavalier had the same problem ( i know, completely different), but I was told at the time, that when a vehicle starts idling funny like that, it is a vacuum leak. Try taking a piece of hose, holding one end up to your ear, and use the other end to probe around till you hear where it is coming from.
